Somebody went and told Dumbya about the conomy, and now he thinks he better fix it.

BILLINGS, Mont. (Reuters) - President
George W. Bush (news - web sites) said on
Monday the U.S. economy was slowing and
``we better do something about it'' as he
prepared to give a major speech on Tuesday
about his plans, including tax cuts, to revive
growth.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer (news - web sites) told reporters
that Bush believed the United States was in an ``economic downturn,'' a
phrase the Republican president declined to echo as he voiced his worries
about tepid growth.

``I'm concerned about our economy,'' Bush said at the start of a two-day
trip to sell his $1.6 trillion tax cut proposal in visits to Missouri, Montana
and Michigan. ``I believe the economy has slowed down and we better do
something about it.''

Oh, alright...I confess.

But, I didn't really expect him to "get it".

Stayed tuned. There is hope that he will "get" some of the other fine points I made in my letters.

Your Nancy.

"To the untrained eye, this looks like a surly swipe at Washington-based critics of Bush's tax proposal. But close readers of this column will quickly grasp that it is really a heavily camouflaged admission of error."

He's so busy trying to keep his lies in order that he's tripping all over his feet!

Femme!

There you are!!! I had been wondering about you and Robin and now both of you have shown up. The power of positive thinking, perhaps?

So you've been attempting communication with Bush, eh! Now that is the mark of a confirmed optimist.

ANTIQUARY!!!!

I could say Rawbunzel and I have just returned from a very expensive and luxurious week at The Open Door in California.

However, I would be lying.

Ah, but a girl can dream.

I'm game, though, should Rawbunzel ever want
someone to accompany her for a week of pampering.

Hi Femme! Only a week? I'd like to be pampered longer than that. Today [and today only ] California sounds great!

As soon as I win the lotto you're on! It would be fun!

Just don't hold your breath waiting, I have very bad luck!

We've found that in cases of severe battleaxe fatique a minimum of three weeks is required before any appreciable effect can be documented.

BOOOOOO!!!

HISSSSSS!!!

In that case, I'll probably need 6 weeks.

Let's see....6 weeks at $1,500 per. Better start saving my pennies.

Or, put out a red light.
