Hartley offered one final caution. "Computers are great, but if you spend too much time in front of them, you run the risk of developing chronic ocular strain," she said. "Not to mention the threat posed by monitor radiation, which I suspect played a part in my recent brain-cancer scare. Fortunately, though, if a computer makes you sick, you can then use it to help you get better."

amazing how the carpal tunnel cleared up just in time to repetitively tap that keyboard. i guess it was just a question of trading one minor condition for the many more serious ones that the internet opened the door to!

Not only the Net. I often think the proliferation of new drugs for what "ails" you ads on TV must be a minefield for hypocondriacs.

No longer is a headache just a headache.

------

At the risk of being thought a hypocondriac , I've developed carpal tunnel in my right hand and arm over the last few weeks; hence, my lack of or brief posts to the RT (and some threads were just begging for my input ). I initially thought I was getting arthritis in my fingers, when all of a sudden it set in.

I finally bit the bullet and called the doctor, but can't be seen until 4/12. Until then, OUCH!!!
