YOUNGER DAYS
When I was in my younger days,
I weighed a few pounds less,
I needn't hold my tummy in
To wear a belted dress.
But now that I am older,
I've set my body free;
There's comfort of elastic
Where once my waist would be.
Inventor of those high-heeled shoes
My feet have not forgiven;
I have to wear a nine now,
But used to wear a seven.
And how about those pantyhose--
They're sized by weight, you see,
So how come when I put them on,
The crotch is at my knees?
I need to wear these glasses
As the prints were getting smaller;
And it wasn't very long ago
I know that I was taller.
Though my hair has turned to silver
and my skin no longer fits,
On the inside, I'm the same old me,
Just the outside's changed a bit.

Hi Zilvey, Netta etc.
Well I always thought that you are only as old as you feel - and at the moment, I am feeling a lot like 20 years older than I am.
Sorry, I'm trying to get my guide dog to look for my walking cane!!!!!
I'll feel younger tomorrow - I HOPE!!!!!

Well, it's tomorrow and guess what? When I looked in the mirror this morning, it wasn't a perky 20 year old looking back.... think I might buy a new mirror.

Hi KazanneI don't know about you, but,
I definitely could not handle being a perky
20 year old again....too much bother.

Well maybe we don't want to be 20 again, but for me I won't mind being 30 all over again. Body was still firm, my hair was still natural without the grey flecks through it, and I did not have all these funny little lines on my face or the dimples in places that they now seem to be.
My baby had just started pre-school. FREEDOM without the worry over teenagers. LOL
Oh how I loved those days. Oh yes and I still had a bounce to my step.
