Nothing sweeter than watching A-ROD & his Rangers lose to Seattle in Texas last night!
hmmm...... Texas - was he worth the millions?!?!? I for one am thrilled he is gone. Seattle is in the #1 spot in the league and, so far, it does not appear as though A-ROD is terribly missed.
Especially when he made it very clear that the only reason he was leaving was money. That showed his true character. I'm mean we are not talking the difference from middle class to wealth. We are talking the difference from all the money he could ever spend as well as his children could spend to even more money they could never spend.

A-rod is worth closer to what he is getting than Mo Vaughn and several others are including Juan Gonzales. Go Yankees!!!!!!!

Go Mariners!
I could take or leave Alex (totally neutral that he's gone), but I'm really liking Ichiro! And my favorite is Kazuhiro Sasaki. One of my cats is even named after him.

"The only ones who don't, already have more than they need. Hence, they are able to stay with the team they want. Money no longer enters in to their decision."
That is exactly my point. He claimed to love Seattle, the people and the environment. Yet, in the end, after offered more money than he could ever use - he went after even more money than he could ever need. With the offers on the table the money should not have been the issue. But, for Alex, it was. Makes his loyalty obvious.
He could have stayed in Seattle and lived up to his words yet chose to take the money. Had he stayed in Seattle he still would have had more money than he could ever spend.

What's he making now, like $20 million a year? I could spend $20 million a year, easy. There'd be taxes, a fabulous house, charity, the boat, first-class travel, nice cars, furniture, paintings, home decor, staff salaries, meals in first-class restaurants... I could go on. Easy. I wish I were rich like Alex.
