Not for auction "purchases", but for regular bill payment like car, mortgage, credit card etc.
I have been using the US Postal Service electronic bill paying site for about 10 months and it seems to work rather well. It costs $6 a month and thus far everyone I wanted to pay can be done through their service. What is especially nice is that you can do it all from one site and at one sitting if you want.
If they can't make the payment through electronic funds transfer, they will mail it. It provides a third party source for proof of mailing.
It sure beats trying to use several different sites.

As another option, I opened an account with Netbank which has free online billpay and have had problem NONE for about 8 months now. They are ranked #10 by Gomez at the moment and give $50 to open an account. VeryModern Space Junk

Oh! I had no idea.
They have already dropped because they were #2, when I opened my account but still my experience has been stellar. I am terribly spoiled, bill pay online is fab.

Security First Network Bank also does the free bill pay but they have some glitch that made their e-mails not get to me for a week or more and they more or less said nobody else is having this bug so go away and stop bothering us. That did not impress me.

I have Net Bank also, and just love it. I have had a few small problems, but nothing that hasn't been fixed. If you use Paypal and a Net Bank account, you cannot be a verified seller, Paypal won't recognize them for some reason. Heather
