I was just commenting in another thread that jamesoblivion hasn't posted here in 17 days. He is one of our more prolific (and insightful) posters, so his absence has been conspicuous.
Does anyone know what's become of him? Last time he took a leave of absence for ten days he let us know beforehand so that we wouldn't be wondering where he got off to. But this time, not a word.
You out there, james?

Yes. I miss James. If he's not well, by some awful chance, it would be nice to hear how he is.

I did e-mail him a few days ago with an invitation. I wasn't expecting a response though, just hoping he would show up, but he didn't.

It just strikes me as weird that james, who posted frequently every day, would stop cold without a hint of why. Particularly since he went out of his way a few weeks before to tell us he'd be gone for a ten day stretch.

jamesoblivion is one of the best posters ever on this board. He's never sunk to the nasty lengths of others here...didn't need to. He has always had the strength of his intellect on his side. Not to mention the power of his always well thought out argument.
Never saw a fleck of foam on his chin. Glory be.

I've noticed his absence for some time and almost ask about him also. Hopefully, he's just taking a break and will return when he's ready.

I totally agree with toke's statement ^^^. No truer words were ever spoken.
I miss his posts too. Would love to see him return when he's ready. There is a big gap created by his absense.
I'm hoping the reason for his absense is because he's found a lovely lady and is spending all his free time with her.  Or spending more time playing his guitar.

He gets an error message. He wrote to someone at AW. I don't think he got a reply.
I hope I haven't overstepped my boundries as I do not have his permission to discuss it.
