We were at an auction a few weeks ago, and noticed one of the local B&M Antique dealersadding a few "extras" to his boxes after purchase....you know...grabbing stuff from the box next to his, and adding it to his collection..YIKES!!!!
Anyhow...we were at an auction last week , and saw this same dealer...we kept a fairly close eye on him, and didn't see any ill behavior this time....BUTwe watched him pay $450 dollars for a pair of Budweiser serving trays circa 1904(?)...went home and did a search and didn't find a single one going for more than $85!!! These were a "River Scene" tray...and seem to be pretty common...we were LOAO!!!!
Payback is a B....
Got any similar experiences?
