I can't say that it really matters to me who the governor of Florida is but it would be an interesting governors race if Janet Reno runs against Jeb Bush. Reno has the Elian ghost and Jeb has the 2000 election ghost to haunt their campaign.
The decison to send Elian back to his father was one I supported, right is right, and making the kid a political pawn wasn't right. Unfortunately for Janet the Cuban community is very political and Elian to them is the Alamo.

It seems to me this campaign will be the medias big "news story" for next year, as they are talking already about it. I saw a report on the news that the Cubans in miami are slowly being outnumbered by other ethnic groups that are more liberal. I agree with you on the Elian situation(the media blowed this WAY out). He was very happy when his dad arrived to take him home. I dont think Jeb will make it because of the Florida election last year. I am sure we will hear more about it everyday!
