I don't know the answer to the first question either, but even when they start charging the fees are very reasonable. The fees can be found under FAQ
I haven't had any deadbeats or even slow payers on sellyouritem.com but the process looks pretty simple...and fast. All you do is fill out the "Final Auction Value Credit Request" form and refunds are applied to your account within 5-7 business days. The only time limits are you must allow 7 days after the auction ends before you request a refund and they must be made within 60 days from the time the auction ends.
You don't have to register a credit card in order to sell. You may send your payments. If you don't have a credit card on file you can only maintain a balance limit of $15.00. Once you reach the limit you will have to make a payment. Another option is pre-payment which is credited to your account and applied toward fees.
