Over at Bidville they have one planned for Sept. 18-25th...I was wondering if anyone knows of other sites that are doing the same thing?

Hi suziteacups7,

I saw a post in the lounges at sellyouritem.com that there will be benefit auctions running. Don't know when they will start, or how it is being organized, but I thought I would pass along the info.

I know that Auctionweiser.com (Http://www.Auctionweiser.com) is donating funds from all sellers’ auctions, and they have set up a relief fund for the WTC as well. Check them out...

I have just finished listing about 25 auctions over there, and have donated funds to several different legitimate relief funds.

I emailed eBay requesting permission to start some donating 100% of final values, but have got no response from them. Guess they are not as interested in helping as their Home Page suggests.

yep, and now many eBayers are up in arms because they neglected to inform the media that it's the *MEMBERS* who will be donating all this money and not eBay themselves. Typical.
I decided years ago to donate to the charities I deem worthwhile directly, and not through any third party such as "charity auctions" or whatever. No matter how above board they may seem, there's just no way of knowing if indeed *all* the proceeds end up with the charity.
Sorry if that seems harsh, but it's the nature of the world we live in.

you can view the bidvill cares site at www.geocities.com/bidville_cares (I'm the keeper of the list/webmaster there). Hope this isn't removed as advertising though.

We are SAYING that the money is being raised by the Sellers! Bidville has never claimed that THEY are raising the money like Ebay is...or wait, is Ebay going to donate all THEIR fees for fundraising or just claim all the kind things that's it's MEMBERS are doing??
