Since I first heard about SYI from you I thought it would only be fair to use you as the referring member when I sign up so you get the $5 credit. I just need to know your seller ID......
They seem like they'll be a good place to be with for a while.

Hey redjinx1..yes we are all looking for a new home since those ePier LIARS banned us....!!And are still causing chaos for the few remaining members!!
Is there an HONEST site out there?

CL, Bidville is still free - for now. I hope they will be more forthcoming than epier. I've heard a lot of good about SYI and still want to check out some other sites. You know all my auctions benefit Brittany rescue so fees cut into donations. Plus, many of my items are under $5 - it's hard to make any money when it's all eaten up in fees. Most people seem to agree that SYI, B&H and Auctionweiser are pretty good.

Just a note to not rely on Bidville staying free. Their user agreement states they only have to give 14 days notice before implementing fees. It also states they only have to give notice of new fees by posting them on their Community Board. They ONLY offered "free forever" to users who signed up and actively bid or listed before their March 10th deadline.
They have only had 1 major uprising so far by
announcing 7/27 a photo hosting policy change eff. 8/1. Unlimited free pics to zero. They said you could pay them $5 a month to host your photos OR you could move all your photos to an offsite host then close and relist every auction to add your new photo URL's. They "generously" agreed to not delete your photos on file until 9/1 to give time to move them. They claimed the $5 a month was not a "fee" as it was entirely optional to save you from getting an outside host. To calm the rebellion days later they amended their hosting policy from 0 to 20 free photos a month. There have also been users here reporting being banned from Bidville strictly for comments made to their message boards.

I know bidville won't always be a free site but for now it's all I've got. I like what I've heard about SYI so far along with a few others. Toollady, thanks for the 'heads-up' abou charity auctions. Now, where's AuctionBoss?........

Hello All,
Sorry for not getting back to you peopel sooner. But it has been very busy around here. I am starting to have trouble with SYI. I think they still have some bugs to get worked out. Plus, now it is taking forever to receive a responce from their support team. It drives me crazy when someone doesn't respond to my e-mail. I am sure that most of you are the same way. I have sent them two or three em-mails already in the last week, but no responce??? Maybe the old Gold's is showing in them already.
I hope they don't pack it in again and leave. Then start another site. Right now I am sticking with eDeal, Haggle, Auctionweiser, and maybe even Bidville if I can get a bid for once.
I guess we'll see. Atleast the first three sites resond to e-mails. I still would love to receive a responce from SYI before I turn 90... But who know's anymore.
redjinx1, no disrespect in not responding to you earlier. It's just I have not been to Auctionwatch since the 18th or 19th.
Best of luck with you auctions on any of these services.
AuctionBoss
