Officially doesn't start til the 7th, but a lot are listing now, to save the bog down of all starting at once.
Just put Craft Sale in your search and you will see how many.
Come the 7th Bidville will have a banner on front page to lead you to all of the venders participating.

Exciting, isn't it?

edited to note that this response was made to a previous post deemed to be "promotional" by AuctionWatch moderator, since deleted.

And the banner is right there at the top of the homepage, right where the paid banners use to run. No takers for banner ads on BV in a while now? There goes another source of revenue?

Thanks Joan,

I will be there to check it out and do some shopping.

How nice to see the "twins" spreading sunshine on a lovely Saturday morning!

justjoan,

I have deleted your post because it was promotional in nature. Promotional posts are a violation of our Community Guidelines.

dimview,

Please drop it down a notch. No need for derogatory remarks, even thinly disguised ones.

I changed my current listings to include Craft Sale in the title ...

YIKES!

A non-sale sale, simply changing the listing title while the price stays the same.

Tell me it isn't so.

Dimview - My listings in question are craft items so there isn't anything wrong with including them in the Craft Sale promotion, I just had them listed prior to the Craft Sale starting.

Also, a "sale" doesn't just mean reduced prices, it can also mean a special promotion of items at regular price. You see it all the time at retail stores.

It *is* so.

I wonder how many other sellers are simply adding CRAFT SALE to their listing's titles? I hope that the other sellers are making this a legitimate sale by reducing their starting bids, or is this largely a non-sale CRAFT SALE?

YIKES!

Moderator:
I think toning it down a notch is not enough for Dimview. He is now attacking sellers who sell on BidVille as well as attacking the site. This is immature to say the least.

Is constantly modifying the auction titles to accomdodate the current BV sale really doing any good? There are too many sales going on there and like a regular store chain that constantly offers sales, the effect gets watered down and turns ineffective.

Hey, deichen, as has been noted numerous times, moderators are contacted via e-mail.

There's also an Auctions Feedback forum.

Are these repetitive calls to the moderators on this forum part of some agenda?

typo.

dimview..
You have been warned before about making snide remarks and needling the members of this community. Consider this your last warning before suspension. It really does get old.

My comment that old listings modified by inserting CRAFT SALE in their title makes this sale a non-sale CRAFT SALE is *not* a snide remark. Auctions are governed by state statutes and the Uniform Commerical Code, therefore the expectation that sale items would be comprised of items for which their is a starting bid reduction is *not* needling the members of this community.

Any retail store with a $9.95 item this week, advertised as a "sale" next week had better be offering that item at less than $9.95.

PERIOD!

Moderator please lock this thread, I have
HAD IT WITH THIS DIMVIEW AND BIDBIDS,and a few more on these boards who deam it their DUTY to belittle any person who says anything POSITIVE.
I have found the AW boards to be nothing but small people picking on people and want this thread locked.
You warn them and warn them but gee never suspend, just keep letting them mouth off and ruining the boards for others.
Thank you.
