Good Morning everyone and Happy New Year! I have been a Vendio Sales Manager Pro customer for a long long time. I have one eBay account for which I use Vendio. I want to "add" an already active eBay account. Even with the help of Vendio staff I haven't been able to do it and wonder if it's me or if I have and older version on my computer. When I go to "My Account", "Add Account" the eBay field already has an existing "X" and won't let me add.

Help an old guy; I'm embarrassed to ask Vendio staff help again!

Robert

Hello Robert,

It is only possible to use one eBay ID with each Vendio account. If you have an additional eBay ID that you are trying to use, then you will need to register a new Vendio account for that eBay ID. If you need to do this, be sure to use the following instructions, in order to make sure that you have the same style of account for your new account, that you already have for your existing account:

1. When opening the new Vendio account, only subscribe to the free Buyer Appreciation service. You may do so here:

http://www.vendio.com/services/buyer_appreciation.html

2. Once the account is open and only subscribed to the free Buyer Appreciation service, you may select your service plans by going to "My Account" --> "My Service Plans".

If you have two or more Vendio accounts, the easiest way to keep your account information separate is to install a separate copy of SM Pro on your computer for each Vendio account.

The first step is to download the install kit from our site (be sure to select the "save to disk" option.) The same install kit can be used to install all SM Pro copies.

The second step is to install the program into separate locations. The first copy is installed into "C:\Program Files\Vendio" folder by default. You will need to create a unique file folder for each additional copy that is to be installed. You may create these folders wherever you like on your hard drive, but be sure to name the files so that you will be able to easily locate them ("C:\Program Files\Vendio2" is an example.)

Next, run the installer for Sales Manager Pro, when the prompt comes up asking you where to install, select and install to default ("C:\Program Files\Vendio" ).

After this is done, run the installer again, and install it to the alternate folders you have created (such as the example "C:\Program Files\Vendio2".) As you do this, you will need to choose a different name for the Program Group for each installation (for instance, you may choose to use the eBay ID that will be associated with that installation.)

After you have installed the separate copies of SM Pro, you should have a matching Vendio icon on your desktop. You should probably rename them with your eBay ID so that you will be able to differentiate them.

Now you should be able to launch the copy you want via your labeled icons.

NOTE: All copies of SM Pro that you have on your system must be the same version number in order to work correctly.

Please let us know if you have any trouble with this.

Regards,
Nathan

Nathan: You are the best! If I can't follow those directions, I may as well give up! I'll be able to do it using the method you described so well.

The problem was of course that I kept trying to add a "new eBay account" to an existing Vendio account which already has one.

I'm getting better, I'll swear. Happy New Year to you and thank you again. Robert
