Hi PayPalDamon! Another PayPaler sent me some money on Monday for excess shipping charges. Then, I found out today the money was not needed, so I sent the money back to her. But the status said "unclaimed" and I got nervous and thought maybe I did something wrong, so I cancelled it and tried it again. Then, the same thing happened (it is sitting unclaimed), but I noticed the second time that PayPal said that the payee was "not registered," whereas the first time it just said the payee was "unverified." I am confused and cannot see how this person could be unregistered since they just sent me the money 2 days ago. I e-mailed this person, but in the interim, what do you think?
1. The email address you sent the payment to is not registered.
2. The email address you sent it to has a typo in it or you may have used the incorrect domain (such as .net when the user has a .com email address).
The other possibility is that the user has receiving preferences set and they have not accepted the payment.
Please check the email address that the payment was going to. This is the problem the majority of the time.

Here's a possibility.
When my wife wins an auction I do 3 things.
1st) I whine and moan about the money she's costing me.
2nd) I'll add her email to the PayPal account so the seller will be getting the payment notice email from the winning bidder's eBay ID's email address (this reduces confusion for some sellers).
3rd) After I've sent payment using my wifes's ID I sometimes I'll remove it from the registered email address list from my PayPal account. This would make a refund impossible without first writing the buyer, but I've abandoned all hope of getting a refund on anything my wife has purchased (God just won't allow it.)
