On saturday I tried to purcahse gas at the pump using my paypal debit card......the first time it went through just fine.....only the pump did not work.......so I moved to another pump and tried again......and it would not take it this time.
Now I see in my account there is a $36.00 pending charge and a $36.00 denied charge...thus accounting for my two attempts to purchase gas with the card.......
My problem is this.........I never got the gas and you have a $36.00 pending charge against my account..........I want you to give me my money back...now.
Thanks for taking care of this.......I would have emailed customer service........but I could not find the place to do that on your website!

Katz, PayPal is not at fault. Once upon a time, the system you encountered worked fine for credit cards. The banks and card issuers continue to use the same system for debit Visas and MasterCards.
As you can see, it doesn't work well, confuses consumers and often causes them to bounce checks.
Unfortunately, I doubt PayPal will be able to do much more than advise you to wait until the holds fall off in a few days. Your concerns would be well directed at MasterCard. Let them know their system is very disadvantageous for consumers.
