I keep all my passwords, including my Palpay password on my Palm PDA. I lost the Palm in China and thinking ahead, I changed passwords of accounts I thought might be affected, including the Paypal account. Well, accessing the account from China caused my account to be frozen in early July, since they don't service that country.
When I returned, I forwarded all the documentation they requested to unfreeze the account including copies of my checking account statement, credit card bill, utility bill and driver's license. That was 10 days ago. Anyone know how long they take for this kind of investigation? I've responded to their initial emails, but no response from them. Also there's no phone listing on Switchboard.com. In the meantime, what's the best alternative service? Billpoint? Bidpay?

Here's a phone number that was posted here in March:
1-888-221-1161
I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you, though. Numerous posters here have said that, even when they call PayPal, they are not put into contact with anybody who will help them. In one case (at least), a customer reported that they were told that the person handling their case didn't have a phone.
