I for one have just about explored every possible way to get PayPal to help right a wrong that they helped to perpetrate against me. I have now consulted with an attorney who feels as I do that PayPal, either unwittingly or not, were party to a fraud against me and by stonewalling me and preventing me from dealing with the perpetrator by shielding him with their "privacy" policies are furthering the wrong to a degree that a court may find against them and award damages in addition to the actual loss.
At present the amount that I am out, while significant enough to me, is not enough to justify the services of an attorney to sue, and without a suit filed one cannot get the subpoenas that Paypal insist on before they will help you out.
However, with enough complainants pooling together, we might be able to interest an attorney. I know that there are dozens of unhappy campers that have voiced their feelings on this board and the amount soon adds up.
If anyone is interested in exploring this idea with me please let me know by replying to this posting stating the amount that you would wish to recover, that you can substantiate, from Paypal.
As I told PayPal some time ago, I am presently unemployed and have nothing but time to fight this battle. With enough of us acting together we can possibly achieve some level of justice.
Please note that I am not mentioning "class action" as that requires meeting many guidelines. By suing as a group of individuals acting together we can avoid that.
Paypallies take note that this is not posted to solicit your particularly useless feedback so don't waste your or my time. You have no facts on which to comment so please do not show your ignorance further. You know who you are and should you reply to this, so will everyone else.
This is offered as a constructive opportunity to seek redress for those who have not so far been able to get PayPal to act responsibly.

I see that the inevitable PayPally just couldn't resist taking the opportunity to add his worthless and unwelcome input, which, when it is considered has no relevance and comes with no complete knowledge of the facts, only serves to further illustrate a. his ignorance of the law, b. the depth of his own intellect and c. the rules of common courtesy in a civilized society.
For your further edification, this matter is not considered frivolous but the amount involved does make the involvement of a competent attorney unlikely. By pooling our complaints that amount soon rises to level where interest will come. Already, through this and other sites the claim amounts are just under $100,000 and I have only been working on it for less than 24 hours. There is power in working in concert.
The moderator once reprimanded me when I suggested that this person might be a shill for PayPal as it was considered that this was an insult. I certainly see my error now. Even PayPal wouldn't be stupid enough to have this person represent them. My apologies to PayPal.
In the end, I can feel comforted by one thought, I will eventually be once again gainfully employed, he will always be who and what he is.
