I have 3 email addresses registered to my PayPal account. My primary email is my ISP. The other two are Yahoo addresses. I have received money through all 3 registered email addresses with no problem. I use different email addresses for different sites so I can keep them seperated.
I won an auction on eBay under an ID I use when I buy. The email address registered to that eBay User ID is one of my Yahoo address which I have registered with PayPal.
When I go to PayPal, I am logged in under my Primary email address because that's the way it's defaulted or maybe because that's the address I have checked as my "primary" under my preferences.
If I just send a payment, won't it show my primary email address since that is my default? It will say [email protected] just sent you cash....That address will not be the one the seller is looking for! I am afraid my payment will either be overlooked or I will send up red flags to the seller and they will think I'm trying to pull a fast one.
I need for the email from PayPal to say [email protected] sent you cash....
Can I do that by just temporarily changing my primary email account under my preferences to the registered Yahoo account???

You have the right idea.
Just change the buying account name to primary, make the payment then go back and switch back to the original primary account.
