Hi:
Is anyone else's Debit Card STILL not working or am I the only one? Tried it 3 times today and it's still not working! Tried to contact Paypal but got a canned responce. I understood yesterday, But this is another day, give me a break! Or at least give me a reason or time when it will work again!

The story over there is the same as here!
I know they should be working, but mine is not! All I want to know is when will they be working for sure? Tired of going to the local store to run it through to see if it's working just to find it isn't! Some kind of dead line would be nice. And not a canned responce telling me how the new system is a big improvement. Especially since it don't work at all!

Have you called the number on the back of the card? I know if too many failed attempts are made at an ATM the card is locked out till you call the service.

Well: After a half hour on the phone with Paypal. They informed me my card should be working fine. So I set out to the local store and guess what! Still won't work. So I set out across town to try another machine. Still won't work! So I went to my bank and tried it there, it worked!!! Well it look's now if I want to use it in an ATM I'll need to go to my bank. The down side of that is now I'll need to drive 10 miles and get charged a fee also from my bank, something I didn't have before. I guess the upgrade made it selective of what machine you run it through! This may create a problem if I'm using it on the road. Before I could use it anywhere.

Q. Did the card work at the store / other MAC machine before this time?
I've had quite a few instances in the past with debit-type cards not being accepted at certian locations. (Even the occasional credit card that refuses to work.) Perhaps something to do with their perticular card-reader setup.
If it did work previously, any chance your card got messed up? (Scratches on the media strip, exposure to magnets, etc.) Some readers are much more sensitive to minor damage than others. A scratch may keep one system from reading cleanly, but it will work fine in another.
