I am going to try and post some of my more popular items on yahoo auctions but wanted to know, can I post my ebay id and state that I am a powerseller on ebay in my auctions. I don't have a rating with yahoo and don't want to run any possible good bidders off.

Good Bidders - Yahoo

I've heard of that, it's called an Oxymoron!

You can post that info, but DO NOT link to ebay or you'll be tossed off sooner than you can say "The Competition Turned Me In!"

I am glad to see you are willing to try something outside of Ebay. I am almost sure that you can say something like--New to Yahoo--Not New to online Auctions! I am an eBay Powerseller with a xxxxx rating! Any questions--please, email me at [email protected]!

Or buy a few things and get a feedback rating--same as you would advise an eBay newby.

No matter what auctions didn't work for some sellers--there are just as many sellers that the other auctions DID work for. Don't be discouraged. Try. You had to make a niche for yourself at eBay--well you have to work on other auction sites as well. There is no instant success anywhere anymore. This is also a slow time everywhere. Just don't expect eBay sales numbers.

I sell vintage jewellery. Yahoo is hit and miss for me--yet there are several sellers there that are going gangbusters--same kind of jewellery.. They have a following--I haven't developed one. They sell on eBay as well. So I list my auctions there and bring home a little cash.

Several sellers here will tell you they send eBay buyers to their Yahoo auctions as well. It works for them. You just have to find your place and methods of selling and at the same time appreciate that Yahoo may not be for you.Thing is, you try.

Good luck!

alwaysfun it would be a good idea to mention your ebay history. We sell 1,000 items on ebay weekly, and 1,000 of our slower movers on yahoo every 10 days. What we do is every email we send has our yahoo auctions booth link included. If we get questions from ebay members they get the link, our ebay bidders get the link in the EOA email, and we also include a thank you note in each purchase with the link. Most of our yahoo traffic comes from ebay and we do good. Be patient it may take a while to get your customer base built on yahoo. One thing in your favor is the low cost.

On a positive note my cousin told me yahoo auctions is getting some much needed ads on MTV to promote their real world auctions.
