I use the Excel Bulk Loader and launched without any problems for the past two hours - are you using Yahoo's Selling Manger product? (or whatever its called)

No troubles here. Every item I have, loaded and running. Even better, two BIN after only an hour.

Replay,
Do you have any tips on launching in bulk from AW to Yahoo? Every time I try to load a bunch of auctions I get tons of error messages back. Customer service seems aware of it put claims the problem is on Yahoo's side. Did you load the entire group of 8,000 in one big bunch?

Thanks.

Not this time. I DID have problems. I set around 8000 to launch, it took about an hour to select the individual auctions and launch them early yesterday afternoon. But it looks like only 3950 or so actually made it. Those actually posted an hour or two after I launched them. Most of the aucitons seemed to have simply vanished.

That's never happened before. All the error messages I got back definitely looked like the problem was on Yahoo's side.

Remember, eBay raised their fees yesterday, and I suspect many eBayers listed on Yahoo in protest. They MAY have been much more busy than they anticipated.

Thanks replay. I have problems every time I launch to Yahoo, which is about 5 days a week. I usually only select 25 or so at a time, then move to the next page of inventory and select another 25. But I get error messages on about 10% of the listings -actually yesterday it was closer to 20%. It's getting VERY annoying.

Anyone have an auction count on the total Yahoo Auctions now running? I know BlairWitch has had the counts in the past.

Tag notes should have the listing numbers. Some friends and I calculated them before, but the process is time consuming. I would estimate around 500,000 auctions. They need to have more FLD's to keep the inventory up.

As usual, the doofus is wondering about useless information. The auction count doesn't matter. What matters are the items listed quality or are they worthless sports cards and recipe auctions that the doofus has.

Of course the counts matter, just not in the usual way. I want to see how many people were protesting against eBay's fee hike. Probably not very many, but I would not be surprised if the Yahoo numbers were significantly higher than usual.

Does it MATTER in the big sense of the word? No. But it is information that I would like to see posted.

Have eBay's numbers fallen at all this week?

It looks like ebay's numbers are about the same according to Jerry's charts at MedVed. The ebay store numbers should be up a lot due to the 2 cent fee instead of the 5 cent fee. This Yahoo FLD is the worst one ever for me with only two sales in over 170 auctions in the first week. ( about what I expected though )

Same here on the FLD results.

I launched almost 4000 items and had 31 *SMALL* sales, mostly sub<$3 comic books. Not one sale of the expensive stuff I usually have to work all week shipping out to eBay buyers.

On the bright side, it was money for nothing, but I'd have lost big time if the listings hadn't been free. Overall, I'd have to vote that it was a waste of time.

I like Yahoo auctions. I always have. But I'm not going to waste any more time there. I've finally learned my lesson. I'll list again next time it's free, but no more wasted nickels on listing fees.

It may be time to delete the Yahoo Auctions bookmark. It's a crying shame the worst management teams on the internet were placed in charge of the one online auction that could have eaten some of ebay's pie.

Does anyone actually know why so many Vendio posts to Yahoo actually fail and require reposting?

Not that Yahoo is any great place but it money for free when it actually works. Just don't have the time to baby sit Vendio if the postings are going to crash continually.

One other question, if anyone knows. When we post to Yahoo the small search pictures never show. Yahoo says we're not uploading them correctly and Vendio has yet to respond. Just thought one of you guys might actually know.

Thanks in advance for any help!

keywrap;

I wouldn't blame Vendio. I use a diffreent auction service and as you can see from my prior posts, I had trouble with Yahoo as well.

I think Yahoo has problems, and they aren't in any big hurry to fix them.

It's a Vendio problem. I don't use Vendio for Yahoo and I never have a problem what so ever. I thunbnail photos are where they belong and listings are right on the money. I would post your problem in the vendio boards to see if you can find the answer to you problem.
