Anyone have any take on the basic differences in customers between Yahoo and Ebay?

When I tried Yahoo awhile back (I sell DVDs), the higher end DVDs (Criterions) fell absolutely flat.

Am I wrong or are they much more price conscious but then less demanding of quality. It seemed the cheaper DVDs I couldn't get rid of on Ebay sold better on Yahoo. But then I don't want to draw concrete conclusions based on my very limited experience.

Do Buy It Nows do well or are they a bidding lot on the whole?

This sounds like a pretty good analogy. Yahoo tends to have more of a lunch pail type of crowd, where ebay has more of the higher class and bidville has the deadbeats.

I use buy it now quite a bit and have decent success with it.
