Keeping in the true spirit of the postingidiot, the link shows two auctions. One for some tickets to some sort of show and another for some pretty cool lamps.

Keeping in the theme of the idiot, Yahoo will let almost anyone post and add on their site. It's is simply business. If you have the cash, Yahoo will let you place your add.

Ahhh words from the little boy who named himself after a wrestler. Mom and Dad out again tonight and left the pc running I see.

Your pokemon cards will be even more worthless soon.

Look at any category and you'll find Links to non Yahoo sites selling the same stuff as the category your looking.

So people should PAY yahoo to list a auction? whahahahaah

In the usual fashion of the posting idiot. Clearly clueless to the world around him.

Ahh using graphics from a game site, your true colors are showing.

You can't do better than that little boy.

Kind of funny, the postingidiot calling me a little boy when he isn't even old enough to drive yet. You would be better off playing with your monkey's in a barrel game. Oh wait, you still aren't old enough for that. I forgot, you still get the "suited for children under 3" toys in your happy meals.

Are you all saying, that if you post an auction on Yahoo, that you can link from that auction to your web site?

Is it legal?

Does it cost extra?

Interesting......

What does it cost to post on Yahoo now?

Thanks!

It depends on your point of view.

1) No, you can't legally do it under Yahoo's rules.
2) HOWEVER, Yahoo doesn't watch things very closely and you can probably get away with it for a very long time unless someone reports you.

Last I heard, it was still a nickel to list lowest cost items (<$9.99), and more for more expensive items.

Thanks for the info. I haven't used Yahoo in YEARS, not since Jan, a couple of years ago, but might consider IF, I could link to one of my web sites.

From the lack of activity on this Yahoo Forum, it doesn't appear hardly anyone is posting on Yahoo anymore. They did a good job of running folks off.

It's tough to use it when you got suspended way back then.

stonecold - I have no idea what you are talking about "suspended," I was never suspended from any auction site, I left Yahoo when they made the change about 3 years ago.

We don't do a great deal in auctions to begin with, since we have 4 main web sites, and that takes most of our time, but I would consider Yahoo again, IF, I could use it to promote (i.e.) link to one of our web sites, and didn't have to use the "paypal" type system, whatever they call it, I don't remember.

Assuming what you state is true (ya right)

There are two main points your bring up. First is the link to your own web site. You are correct about the non-link rule.

However, you are incorrect about Paydirect. It is not required to list or sell on Yahoo. Even though it is much safer for the seller to accept it than PayPal, I don't recommend it for credit cards because of cost. It is free for cash transfers with no limit which I utilize. And no payments are ever forced upon you like paypal. You always have the option to accept or deny.

I stopped using PayDirect because they started charging me something like $4.95 a month and none of my customers paid me through them. In two years I only got 2 payments through PayDirect.

The monthly fee only applies if you accept credit cards. No fees for accepting cash only.
