Free Listing Day is Thursday, May 20
Yahoo! Auctions is pleased to announce a free listing day on Thursday, May 20. All auctions submitted between 12:01 a.m. PT and 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday will not be subject to listing fees (other fees still apply).

Heh heh stonecold.

But seriously, I was thinking just the other day that it seems like an unusually long time since the last one.

Probably "real soon now" is a safe answer. Or maybe "never again" depending on your point of view.

That's one more sign that I've probably been doing this too long

Judging from the number of posts at this Yahoo board, does anyone care anymore?

I long for the good old days at Yahoo when listings were free, bidders were plentiful, and it was fun.

I disagree with you on two accounts. First, the best thing that ever happened was listing fees. That drove the crap from Yahoo to bidville. Sales have actually stayed at the same rate as they were before, just now the numbers are more meaningful as you do have to watch how often you list an item if it don't sell. I agree somewhat about the fun part, at least here on how many people have their head in the sand about the reality of Yahoo. The reality is Yahoo lost 99% of their deadbeats to bidville and if more would realize the reality, they would come back.

I'm not knocking myself out this time. I only put up 1000 items.

Last time the results were so dismal, I'm not even sure I want to put this stuff up for a week.

But... You can't beat free.

I think Yahoo's FLD is about once every 3 or 4 months. I skipped the last one. The 2 before that wasn't very encouraging. Yahoo's FLD isn't really worth the time, unless you already have a file made for their bulk lister.

OK, something is definitely different this time.

I got my listings up - not a problem.

I've has 22 BINs in the first 2 days of my listings.

22 BINS! *faint*

That's great, couldn't happen to a better person! How many different buyers (if you don't mind)?

My items are a little slower than yours, but we still have a little over a week on these listings to see what the final tally will be.

2 buyers different buyers... both have made contact (NPBs are always more of a problem on Y than E for me).

Also have gotten come questions...

Well I didn't get one single bid or buy now. I did link the heck out of my auctions to my website and had about 50 extra items sell there so I guess all was not lost.
