Checked in to the old Yahoo auction thread and nothing was even there anymore.

Sad to see what yahoo auctions did to themselves. Why didn't they listen to what the sellers were trying to tell them?

They were probably more interested in what their investors said:
"Make Money! Drop those stupid free auctions!"

Before long it will be:
"Make Money! Shut down that silly auction site!"

Not everything has to be a gold mine. Sometimes just doing better than breaking even is a good thing. It creates jobs and helps the economy. But no, everything involving the internet has to be a get-rich-quick scheme.

Eventually:
"Make Money! Sell Yahoo in entirety to Google!"
