I am not sure why vendio chose to do it this way but it has become a huge problem for me.

Now if a auto launch auction fails to launch because of quantity on market would exceed limit it goes into the error folder.

If there is another error of some kind it also goes into the error folder.

I really dont think that failed launches due to quantity on market should go into the errors folder. After a while it will be very difficult to determine which were actually problem listings that need attention and which were simply failed launches due to quantity.

I have 50 auctions in my errors folder and only about 5 of them were failed listings due to quantity. How do I know this?? I had to check each one... one by one by one. What a pain in the a**!

I am curious where you would want those that failed to list because of low stock to go? If an auction of mine did not launch because of low inventory - I would want to know (so you can order more), and the error file would be a logical place for it to go.

I am also curious - why do you have 50 auctions that errored out? You shouldn't have errored out auctions - something must not be correct there.

They could make a whole seperate folder.. it did not launch because of low inventory it failed to launch because it was already at the limit for how many I have listed on eBay. Not a problem..

However I list alot of the same item and have hundreds of one item in stock. So when one sells I have it scheduled to automatically list at 730pm the day the item sold. Therefore everyday an item doesnt sell on a particular day I get an error. This can happen to 20-50 auctions per day. Within a week I can have as many as 140-350 errors in the error folder. Not to mention the other errors (if any) like I received yesterday.

Also the error states "cannot launch because inventory item not found" or something like that. I was able to relaunch like I did before by going into SM and clicking the box next to the auction I wanted to relist and click relist at the top. Well for some reason last night I got the error messages instead of relising the 50 items I had scheduled and they all went into the ERROR folder.

So now my error folder is full of items and I have to go one by one to find out what the error was. Thats a pain.

How do you have your automatic launch set up? Do you have it set just to automatically launch 1 at 7:30 each day? So, if an item doesn't sell that is why you are going over the max limit on ebay?

Are you using the schedule / quantity setting or the fixed quantity listing.

If I understand how you want it done - you should be using the fixed quantity setting. That way you can have, for example, 7 on ebay - 1 closing each day. Then, let's say, today you sold 1 - it would automatically launch one for you - so that you still have 7 up on auction.

That would eliminate the errors and you would always have 7 up for auction.

Yes it is set to launch at 730pm everynight (IF) my limit on eBay has not yet been met. So say I limit it to 3 items and I only have 2 items up on eBay at 730pm on any given night it will launch one for me. However if I have 3 on eBay and 730pm it will not launch anything and in turn gives me an error.

fixed quanity relaunches whenever an auction ends if I am correct. I do alot of BUY NOW items and sometimes and item will sell at 2am. Well I dont want SMIE to relist the item at 2am so I have it scheduled to launch at 730pm that night.

I can still have as many auctions as I want as my limit but it also allows me to launch the auction at the time that I want as well.

Am I making sense?

Hello --

Ninerfanzz, after having just reviewed and analyzed all of your errored listings, I have to agree that clicking on all the error messages was a bit tedious. The errors that arose from "inventory item not found" can be caused when an inventory item has been deleted out of your inventory folders.

We'll continue to work on ways to improve the usability of the errored listings section, and the SMIE product overall.

Thanks for the input --

Makes perfect sense to me. I think you can set the time you want the new listing to list - but Vendio you need to verify this for niner.

I agree. There needs to be a way to filter the errors. I deal in smaller quantities of products, usually liquidation items that I don't get to reorder. Having this many errors is a pain.

A simple filter so you can distinguish between low inventory, quantity listed max reached, or other "real" errors would make it a lot more user friendly.

Hi there,

I'm sorry we missed your post. We have filed an enhancement request on this issue, but as of now no changes have been made in this area. We are going to continue making improvements to SMIE, and we appreciate your interest and feedback.

Best regards,

Diana

It has been more than one week that I failed to list marriage bed to ebay!! I have been on ebay for more than 2 years and I list almost every day via vendio. Recently I found that I always failed to list marriage bed to ebay. And The screen showed in red words that "Error 353: Java script not allowed.Either your Description, Location, or Checkout Instructions has Java script that is not allowed.". Since totally I list for beds is not more than 5 beds, so I really dont think that failed launches due to quantity on market reason. I am using window`s XP and though I have tried to solve problem via the following ways, but still :1) save the images in another computer and renamed them, then upload but failed. 2) re-edited the size of the pictures and only listed uploaded about 10 pictures of the bed (while normally for my one auction, I list about 8-15 pictures) but failed. 3)I re-edit my description, check out instruction and make sure no cookies (this should not a problem as I can list other items like cabinets, chairs and etc successfully with same default setting on vidio or ebay. 4) I even chosed the catalogue from vendio "cabinet" for listin a bed as I doublt it is low quantity goods on ebay reason but I failed again. I really can not figure out what is the problem for them....Please help! help, help!! Alice

Hello,

eBay has discontinued support for certain javascript functions and HTML 'tags' in auction listings. These may cause errors on launch if you have any disallowed javascript or tags in your listing descriptions or in default text. If you are receiving this error, please check the following:

1. Check your default text (located under My Account -> Custom Listing Text) for any javascript Paypal logos. If you are using a javascript logo, we would recommend you remove it from your listing text.

2. Check for any 'meta' tags, or 'base href' tags. These have been disallowed by eBay and can result in error 353.

Please let us know if you are unable to find the javascript or HTML that is causing the errors.

Regards,

Sonya
