I have switched from SM to SMIE and back numerous times because of the learning curve and I just want to know peoples thoughts on SMIE. Any input would be great.

It was quite a job for me to convert all my items. But I have a lot of items. Now that I've finished I love it.
It is much easier to add a new item. It can be set up where everything is automated, so there's less work. I won't switch back.
I didn't find it at all hard to learn.
