I listed my first batch of listings through Vendio and I'm not too pleased.
None of them were listed showing that I accept Paypal. I will now have to revise ALL of them (I did revise a few already this evening).
Global preferences are set with Paypal checked off and my paypal email addy entered.
Each individual item is in SMIE with site specifics, payment, etc. ALL showing Paypal checked off (as well as Bidpay. Only 1/2 even show bidpay in text in the payment section of my template, which is another issue).
Then, every time I go to save an edit, I cannot get out of the edit screen. No red tabs or errors. I end up having to discard all the edits by hitting cancel as it is the only way I can get out.
Here is one listing that doesn't show Paypal in the Ebay payment section: 5537604199
There are about 50 more.
If you look in SMIE, that item (and all the rest) DO have Paypal chosen as a payment method. In additional, my global preferences show paypal checked off and the paypal email addy filled in.

Oh....if it helps......it seems to be all the auction items. The few store items I checked seem to be correct.
But all the auctions are missing the Paypal info (in the Ebay part, not my template). My template for the auctions is missing the bidpay line.

Hello,
Since Paypal has been integrated with eBay, there are a few different options to apply a Paypal logo to your listing. Please let us know what you prefer:
1. A Paypal logo in the body of your description only, with no eBay references to Paypal in your ad and no "Pay Now" button when your listing closes (this is recommended if you are using Vendio Checkout.)
2. A Paypal logo under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with the wording "This seller prefers Paypal" inserted and the "Pay Now" button leading to Paypal only when the listing closes (this will also enable your buyers to go through Paypal checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
3. A Paypal logo under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with the wording "This seller prefers Paypal" inserted and the "Pay Now" button presenting Paypal and all other payment methods when the listing closes (this will enable your buyers to go through eBay's checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
4. A Paypal logo only under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with no "seller prefers Paypal" wording and the "Pay Now" button leading to Paypal only when the listing closes (this will also enable your buyers to go through Paypal checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
5. A Paypal logo only under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with no "seller prefers Paypal" wording and with the "Pay Now" button presenting Paypal and all other payment methods when the listing closes (this will enable your buyers to go through eBay's checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
Please let us know what you prefer, and we will let you know how to proceed.

Hi Sonya,
I want it as it appears on all my store listings. The store listings launched correctly. The auction listings omitted the paypal info. This is what I don't understand. Why did they list differently? The auctions are for the SAME ITEMS as listed in the store and, therefore, are set-up in Vendio the same way. Why did store listings list one way and auctions list another way?
Also, why is Bidpay inserted in my description on some listings but not on others? I have Bidpay chose in ALL my inventory items.
Here is a store listing showing the way I want Paypal inserted.

Any ideas how that happened? SAME inventory item listing 2 different ways in Ebay store and Ebay auction? When the setting is obviously the same (since it was the same inventory item)?
I need to list my items, but don't want to do it if they are going to list incorrectly again.
I bombed all my old listings and have to put up all new. I generally have 250 items up on ebay at all times and only have 60+ up now.

Hi Lori,
Did you recently change your eBay preferences? That option is controlled by your ebay preferences.
Please do the following:
- Go to My Account -> Global Preferences on Vendio and select the 'Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo in my listing' option. Then log on at eBay and go to My eBay -> eBay Preferences (located on left in My eBay Views) -> click 'change' Payment Preferences under Seller Preferences and choose the following:
- Show Pay Now button for all payment methods (Pay Now preference)
- Tell my buyers that I prefer PayPal payments (PayPal preference)
Please keep in mind this will only apply to new listings you create after updating these settings. Currently active listings will need to be edited on an individual auction basis.

I don't think you are understanding me at all.
I do Not want the paypal clickable button in my listings.
I want the paypal logo only in the bottom section of the listings. In the EBAY payment part.
All my ebay store items launched through Vendio launched with that NON CLICKABLE logo there in the bottom part of the listing (in the ebay section, not my template)
All my auction items launched through vendio (for the SAME INVENTORY ITEMS so ALL settings were the same) launched without any Paypal reference at all in the Ebay bottom part of the listings in the Ebay payment section.
Did you look at the examples I referred to above? Please look.
My Vendio global preferences are and have been correct. They just don't seem to apply properly for auction launches, but do apply properly for Ebay store launches.

here is the setting in Vendio.
Include only the PayPal logo in my listing (recommended when not using PayPal Immediate Payment, Buyer Financing Options or eBay Checkout Redirect)
Paypal box is Checked off. My verizon email addy is THERE.
Once the auction lists through Vendio, that Paypal info is NOT in the auction listing.
When I go to revise the listing, my paypal email address is NOT in the listing at all. Paypal is NOT chosen as a payment method. It isn't even just the logos. It is that Paypal is not even CHOSEN as a payment method.
But, it IS chosen as a payment method on all my ebay store launches for the EXACT same inventory items. Also launched through Vendio.
Please explain why the store items launch properly and the auction items do not. Same inventory items. Same settings. Launched at the same time.

Last comment.......I have NOT changed anything in Ebay OR in Vendio. Store items just launched. They include the paypal info. Yet the auctions do not. Please explain.

Ebay has been having some weird glitches lately (like German items showing up in people's stores, etc) so maybe the problem was on Ebay's end last night?
I'm launching more auction style listings tomorrow night with the same settings. I'll see if those launch properly and let you know. All the ebay store items for the same inventory items (with the same settings) launched correctly which tends to make me think it isn't on Vendio's end, but maybe Ebay's.

Hi sonya,
What do you mean Ebay payment preferences for Paypal?
Do you mean Paypal preferred? yes, that is checked off.
Ebay checkout (paypal clickable button) is turned off. however, checkout off DOES show the Paypal logo still.
It is set up the way it looks in the Ebay store listing referenced above. That is how my listings have always appeared and how they should continue to appear. For some reason, it was only the auction launched the other night that omitted the information. This is what I don't understand as ALL my settings (at Vendio, Paypal and Ebay had not changed at all).
And, all Ebay store launched done through Vendio listed correctly. Only auctions (for the same inventory items so all settings should have remained the same) did not launch properly.
I will let you know if the same thing happens when new auctions launch tonight.

Hi Lori,
If you log on at eBay and go to My eBay -> eBay Preferences (located on left in My eBay Views) -> click 'change' Payment Preferences under Seller Preferences -- this is what I mean, by PayPal preferences in eBay. Please let me know what options you checked off for Pay Now preferences and PayPal preferences. In order for us to properly test this we need to know what you have set up there as looking at the auction isn't going to really tell us which boxes you marked off.

HI Sonya,
I don't mark off ANY boxes in My Ebay. I've never changed the settings.
I've never checked off anything in My Ebay.
You can tell what my settings are supposed to be by the store items that launched properly.
It was only those few auctions on that one night that launched without the paypal info. I had NOT checked anything off in Ebay. I did not even go to Ebay. Everything was done through Vendio. Each item had a quantity of 2. 1 launch at ebay store. 1 launch at ebay auction. The settings should have been identical as it was 2 launches for ONE inventory item.
It hasn't happened since, which is what makes me think it may have been an Ebay problem, NOT a Vendio one.
For example, some sellers on Ebay are now reporting "paypal is required for this listing" (NOT immediate payment required; something new) all of a sudden put on their Ebay listings.
So, I think it may have been an Ebay/paypal glitch.

Hi Lori,
PayPal had some problems this week regarding the instant payment notifications. I doubt those affected how your items listed, but just thought I would let you know in case they had other problems that were distantly related yet not reported. Thank you for the update!
