1) I currently have over 2000 items in a number of folders in inventory SMME. If I change to the SMIE will this inventory be imported to SMIE without any changes?

2) Will I be able to make changes to text within the description on a number of items at one time. For example; Could I replace a misspelled word or remove a line that no longer applies or insert an announce that I will not be available for a period of time?

Hello,

When you switch over, there is an option for you to import inventory from SMME into SMIE. Once you do this process your inventory will be available.

You can edit item descriptions in bulk.
