First of all, I have one item scheduled for tonight, 6:30 Sunday Jan. 16. I'm not sure it will be listed correctly because when I try to preview it as eBay it tells me the category is missing. Say I want to list in Clothing, Shoes & Accessories, Women's Clothing, Intimates, Corsets & Bustiers. How do I find the category I want? Do I look in eBay and get the category for the last category (Corsets & Bustiers)? I have an eBay Store and I think I have correctly listed in the right category in that store. I do not have a Vendio Store.

Secondly, I had wanted to list this item with a fancier font (maybe even a different color)... something like a script ... and centered. When I typed the description up I was not given the choice to do any of these things. Is this possible with the Inventory Edition? I managed to make the description bold, but everything specified below is in regular font. I have Imaging Hosting and Gallery in my plan.

Third, and lastly, I wanted to separate into boxes of some kind a sizing chart, return policy, shipping and handling policy, etc. I've seen this done on many auctions.

Are these things possible with the SM Inventory Edition? I would more than appreciate any help anyone can give me. I plan on listening to the teleconference on Wednesday. It may be that I should wait and listen to it before trying to add any more auctions to eBay. If I can get some answers though, maybe I can list sooner. Thanks loads!

Hello greatbuyz4u2c,

1. The item scheduled for tonight is set to go. I did a quick eBay preview but did not get an error message about the category. You can either enter it manually, or just click that 'choose' link next to that field to select it using the standard dropdown menu.

2. You can either change the default for your template to always change the text a certain way, or use HTML in your description to format it manually do to this. To edit your template to change this as the default, go to the My Account page and click on the Custom Template link found within.

3. You will want to set this up in your custom listing text area, so you can update and change it as needed, without having to add it manually to your items as you list.
From the My Account page, click on the Custom Listing Text link found within to find the area where you can store this information.

Regards,
Christopher

Thanks for trying to help me with this listing, but I just didn't understand it, I guess. My auction was listed as scheduled, but the font, etc. of the text definitely had to be edited. I went in under eBay and changed the text, etc. the way I wanted it to look. I definitely need to know how to edit my text (without having to know html) when creating a listing. Is this possible?

My granddaughter called and told me that in my Marquee gallery was a picture of a "pillow" instead of my lingerie item. She was right. I fixed (by copying and pasting)the gallery pic in the search process, but a pillow is still in my Marquee on that listing, even after deleting it entirely from my gallery pictures in Vendio from another category.

My two questions right now are:
(1) how can I change this active auction to show the lingerie in the Marqueee gallery instead of the pillow?
(2) How can I change the font, etc. while creating the listing? After the listing is "scheduled", can it still be edited?

I appreciate all the help you can give this "Newbie!!". Thanks.

You may have an online chat line, which I will search for. How would you suggest I go about learning the entire Vendio listing process.

Hello,

If you let us know the item number that is showing the pillow, we can reimport your gallery image for that item.

Regarding changing font/color/etc without knowing HTML -- if you are working online in Sales Manager, you will need to use HTML. We are working on an online HTML editor so when this is released you can use that instead. Our offline program, Sales Manager Pro, has an HTML editor that you can use.

Scheduled listings have to be unscheduled prior to editing.

The best way to get to know our site and what we have to offer is to check out the help section and look at the Get Started guides, and view the Knowledge Base. Any other questions you might have, feel free to contact us.

Regards,

Sonya
