I keep thinking of Spaz - he lives in NYC. I hope he is safe and stays safe.
One building of the trade center is NO MORE - it has completely colapsed.
People on street said people were jumping out
of windows.
This just in - car bomb exploded outside of State Dept. in DC. Act #4.
affirmation comes from within ...
not at the expense of another.

I just heard that a car bomb went off somewhere. The channel I'm watching has footage of the Pentagon with smoke coming out of the roof. This is scary! I've just got strange goose bumps all over and am just in SHOCK! At least one tower just came down. I am just at a complete loss for words!

Now the north tower of the WTC has exploded again & collapsed too -- this is terrible -- how many people are we talking about in those 2 buildings alone, I thought these were like small cities -- people, both of these towers are GONE, the scale of this terrorist attack & this horrible tragedy is just too large to comprehend.

They say that 50,000 people work(ed) in the Trade Center. That doesn't even count others in nearby buildings or on the streets.
I'm stunned. I can't believe this is happening.

When I heard about it on the radio while driving home after running ebay errands, I was in shock but didn't realize just how bad it was until I turned on the TV. The footage is just awful! I'm in CT so I'm just about 3 hours or so from NYC. But I'm not okay, I feel just awful!

I just learned that the plane thet crashed on the south tower was a hijacked commercial airliner full of passengers.

Helen, CNN just reported that all government buildings in Washington DC have now been evacuated. Also CNN said they can't get any calls into those buildings.
I hope your daughter is ok.
There are some unconfirmed reports of a plane down in Pennsylvania.

HELEN - We're praying for your daughter (and for the rest of the country). CNN just said that ALL federal office buildings in DC are being evacuated. Hopefully, she will be at her home soon.

Federal buildings in Rochester NY closed (I'm watching the ABC affiliate in Rochester)... I imagine all federal buildings across the country are evacuating.

there's another plane supposedly on the way towards the Pentagon now that has been deemed a threat and fighter planes are 'scrambling' now to defend the Pentagon

My newly married young neice and her Marine husband are both in DC and we are unable to contact them.
Apparently a lot of the on-line and phone services are down due to volume, so if you don't hear from people in the attacked areas, do not assume the worst. They probably just can't get on-line or through on the phone lines.

I've been trying to get to the CNN site with no luck... everything on the net is slowing down.
I feel so helpless, I don't know what to do! I'm just SICK, thinking about all those people, especially in NYC.
