Its too early to tell what will happen, but Im thinkig goat herder is going to be there for awhile. That one guy..the bartender, he irked me alittle bit too. But the one that REALLY made me want to whap her upside the head was Diane. Glad I dont have to watch her dramatics anymore.

This time, looks like they got some older folks. And because of the age of most of them, Im surprised they didnt learn from watching the other shows. Did you see them pouring out the fresh water because it was "too heavy"? Duh. And why werent some of the women carrying the heavy loads? Might break a nail? Gimme a break.

I don't know. With Diane I think she really was wrung out--it was her tribe that threw away most of their water, and then couldn't light a fire to purify more. Combine dehydration with her age, and the highly strenuous first challenge & I think she really did overdo. People really underestimate how severely you can be affected by dehydration.

As for what people carried on the way to the camps, I don't know if it was the women wimping out, or the men going into "he-man" mode.

I noticed that one guy..cant think of his name..the telephone pole dude...he was leading the way,but I didnt see him carrying much. And if I was a member, being female, it would be a cold day in hell before the men did the HE MAN thing while I have a SHE WOMAN tongue in my mouth. If the women act weak, they will be eliminated. A woman thought up the magnifying glass. To survive there, they ALL have to carry their weight, or they shouldnt have gone. Period.

Yes, that's the "military" guy who has already annoyed the rest of his tribe through officiousness. I also noticed he carried the least & groused the most about what the others were doing.

I'm like you about pulling my ownweight, but I see women every day who think nothing of letting men be the muscle while they coyly accept.

If you don't want to wade in the swill pit where the water is you go off to one side and dig a hole where the water table is just a foot or so under the surface. It is still contaiminated but it gets filtered of the worst muck by the ground. - and you can cover it to keep animals out of it - and it is safer to get water there from preditors than in the muck where you can't run or turn quick.

I was on the phone with my daughter during the first several minutes; didn't realize they POURED OUT their fresh water! I thought the containers fell and broke. Geesh, talk about braindead, nobody in their right mind would deliberately do away with water.

Ditto, when Clarence took two cherries. I saw him do it, but didn't realize that he was only supposed to take one. I am deaf in one ear, so daughter was getting the use of the one I can hear out of.

I thought that team was doing a lot of laying around feeling sorry for themselves (and fighting among themselves) when there were things they needed to be doing about the situation.

They had to get rid of Diane --even if they didn't trust Clarence about the food, they had to weed out the weakest person and save the strong person for the sake of winning other immunity challenges.

But as soon as I read the bios on the people, I knew Diane would be the first one off that team to go--no matter what happened.

Hepburn ~ I agree about Diane (however I don't really like Clarence either). But Diane was acting all the way. She may very well have felt faint after the cart pulling thing. Thats understandable. But the way she was acting when they got back. Laying her face in Clarences lap & moaning. Give me a break! And then when they all got back from getting the water she was just fine. All she had was beans for gods sake! If she was THAT dehydrated and sick, I'm sorry but a half a can of beans would not have made her feel THAT much better. If she was THAT dehydrated and sick, those beans would have come right back up.

As for Clarence. I do think the 2 cherries thing was a brain fart. I really don't think that he would have purposely hogged 2 in front of everyone (and the cameras). However, something about him just seems slimey to me.

Goat farmer boy ..... well, I think that says it all.

My hubby thinks this season's cutie is the investment chick. Can't remember her name though.

I was just surfing over at CBS.com. As a point of interest, I would like to share that the "annoying old man", (whom I now know is named Tom) has a son named...

Bucky Bo.

I believe this needs no further commentary.

I swear, I was just over there and was going to post the name of his son. I figured that one kid was gay and it is posted on his bio, that one annoyed me. I like Ethan.

That guy pulled off the "Great Double Cherry Caper" AND the notorious "Pork n' Bean Heist", THEN tries to frame another user as the culprit, and THEN he hides the evidence (the can) so no one will suspect him, and HE stays?

I must be in the Twilight Zone here...

Bah! on that creep, and WHO-RAY for the old dude rippin' into that thug/crook/theif/liar.

nefish, lol

Tommy, the goat farmer, seems really mean.

I predicted Diane would go when they were walking out to their camp site. If she hadn't been generally annoying in addition to being sick and weak, she may have stayed.

Hubby and I were both hoping Clarence wouldn't be voted out so soon. He did some dumb stuff but I felt really bad about the way he was berated for the bean thing. I have a feeling his standing will improve.

My favorite is Lex, the tall, dark-haired guy with tattoos. He seems nice, smart, and likeable.

Pocono--Clarence may have eaten the beans/ but you don't kick out the strong people just yet--they need his muscle for a while longer.

Exactly. It isn't about who has a charming personality, it's about the imunity idol, at least until they combined the two tribes.

So if I mow your lawn, will you let me get away with stealing your purse?

After all, you lawn DOES need mowing...

He's a theif, a liar, and has has NO business being there.

Nice example that he sets as a "coach", huh?

Look kids, 1st Cheat, THEN Steal, THEN Lie!
Don't worry little kiddies about getting caught if you do these things, you'll get away with it... No honesty required to play games!

Nice that some can justify this, huh?

No honesty required to play games!

I really don't think that this game has rules requiring honesty.

He's a theif, a liar, and has has NO business being there.

I have a feeling he won't last much past the time they combind the 2 tribes, unless he straightens up.

Nice that some can justify this

In the context of this game yes. There is a Million dollars on they line, and it isn't a real "survivor" situation, someone gets hurt bad, they will chopper them out of there quick. This is a GAME, and a game like this is played by crossing, and double crossing people.

Sorry Pocono--but in this case--YES--you do keep the liar/thief (by Diane's word)--because he is the one that will help keep your team in the game---while Diane would not be able to.

What does it say---it says the team wants to WIN.

---plus the fact/ I don't believe much of what Diane had to say. She knew she would be targeted to go because of her weakness---so she needed to make someone else look bad (shades of Jerri)--and to get the rest of the tribe to jump on Clarence was a great strategic move.

I bet she DID ask Clarence to open the can--and I bet she ate quite a bit of it--and then she LIED to save her skin. Too bad the producers decided not to let us see that footage.

Please don't assume things I didn't say. What on earth makes you think that I came to that speculation based on his accent?

I came to that speculation based on his reference to a gun, the way he wanted him to apologize over and over and his general attitude towards him. It seemed like an awful lot of anger to have for someone over a can of beans and an extra cherry. Other people were also angry with Clarence but not to that extreame. So I wondered.

Many of us have guns and still manage not to be Klan members.

His anger over the beans & cherries was not exaggerated in the context of where they are. Their foodstores are limited & will grow more so as days pass. What they have needs to be shared equally. For one person on their team to blithely ignore that & help himself or take more than his share means that there is less for everyone else. In the last Survivor show, one team was suffering malnutrition and became so weak that one member actually fell into the fire. The producers of this show don't just hand over more rations when they run out of what they have.

And besides, anger also doesn't automatically qualify one for the Klan...

luvbugg, I thought the same thing about goatman. He seemed to be getting off on berating clarence. And Pocono, how do you know clarence is a liar? The producers show what they want to show, so none of us know he lied about the can being tossed or not. Im still thinking clarence will prove himself later on...make up for his faux paux in some way. Female intuition says so. JMHO.

And Pocono, how do you know clarence is a liar?

He got rid of the evidence (the can).

Did he do this because he was going to tell the truth and be honest?

I hope that this "athletic" coach goes on to win all the immunities and those people that kept him choke on it. It was NOT a smart move at all.

He didn't stay behind because he was "valiant", he stayed behind because he was lazy, and wanted to steal the beans.
He had it planned all along. A natural born theif.

Sorry, but people like that just really piss me off!

I despise theifs and cheats... regardless of the reason or situation.

That can of beans will be worth it's weight in GOLD to those left in three or four weeks.

Im sorry, but I just have to laugh at the bean theft scenario. Here we are, judging this poor guy for eating a few beans while Diane gobbled them up after her dramatics of eye rolling and farted herself all the way to the Morning Show. He got rid of the can. Big deal. Maybe he did just as he said, and the can was right there in the camp, but the cameramen removed it just to cause controversy. Who Knows?

Let me break out in song:

Beans beans the magical fruit, the more you eat the more you toot.

Hope spaz has his gas mask on if he comes in this thread

Hey Poke---many of the USA leaders have stated that this war is not going to won by the guys wearing the white hats who would never tell a lie. They say they are going to have to use the shady characters to get the information and get many of the jobs done .
You might just have to owe your life and freedom to a liar and a cheat.
