Lot of good recommendations still some others out there deserve to make the list. Here's one that's definitely in my top 10 list.
The Shining Kubrick's horror classic is a treat for the acting and the always incredible Kubrick cinematography. Jack Nicolson's slow decent into madness is one of his greatest performances in my opinion. Kubrick was a master with the camera, one scene in particular captivates me. In a long tracking shot the camera follows Danny on his tricycle, the wheels making different sounds as he goes from carpet to tile to carpet to tile. It pulls you to the edge of your seat, you know something is fixing to happen.
