It would not be a good thing to derail this thread with political discussions. I would rather keep those types of discussions in other threads. Because this is the cRaZy ThReAd where no point is the point afterall.

Woodstock
by Joni Mitchell (1969)

We are stardust
We are golden
And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden

By the time I got to Woodstock
They were half a million strong
Everywhere there was song and celebration

I dreamed I saw the bombers
Riding shotgun in the sky
Turning into butterflies above our nation

We are stardust
We are golden
And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden

CAN'T YOU HEAR MY HEARTBEAT
Herman's Hermits

Every time I see you lookin' my way
Baby, baby, can't you hear my heartbeat?
In the car or walking down the highway
Baby, baby, can't you hear my heartbeat?

When you move up closer to me
I get a feelin' that's ooo-wee
Can't you hear the poundin' of my heartbeat
'cause you're the one I love, you're the one I love

When I feel you put your arms around me
Baby, baby, can't you hear my heartbeat?
Then I'm glad, I'm mighty glad I found you
Baby, baby, can't you hear my heartbeat?

All my friends are cryin' out to meet you........

Baby, baby, can't you hear my heartbeat?
Baby, baby, can't you hear my heartbeat?

Thats a great site on the P51, was a great aircraft. I used to build models of aircraft, sailing ships etc.

The biggest I had was of a B29 super fortress, called Enola Gay. That sucker had a wingspan of over 3 ft. It was huge.

Trai, I used to help my brothers and their friends build models. Haha... the glue! Then some years back my nephew would spend his summers with me and the only models he ever wanted to build were planes. And I worked right along side him.

Hahaha, so much fun. Paint all over the oak table and the chairs and the floor every year but I didn't care. He trusted me to put the decals on and I did it perfect for him. Now he's all grown up and he repairs aircraft for a living.

So what did you do with your models? My brothers set theirs on fire and blew them up and wrecked all their toys because they got right into their play. Hahaha... all the boys seemed to do that.

Neat info, the real enola gay had a huge wingspan 141 ft. 3 in.

kiara we all know about playing with the toys. One time in the bathtub I played mock sea battles and I set the battleships on fire. It looked really cool burning in the water and sinking by the stern.

Next thing I took both hands and did the depth charge. WHOOSH lots of water and lots of smoke. Next thing my parents are at the door as the smoke is coming out from under the door. I didn't know why they were so excited! What do you expect from an 8 year old?

Lol, trai. One little boy I used to play with would set his boats on fire in the creek. Great fun! Once we were all playing on a big dirt bank with our trucks and cars and we had a "fiery" crash but it wasn't real enough so I ran to the house and got the matches.

Metal didn't burn too well but the pile of comic books flamed up fast so we drove them all into the fire. Same thing with the excited parents.

It was hot summer sun and acres of dry grass and trees and no fire protection. But we were just kids, what did we know?

---------------------------------------------

jdk156, when you say you're gone I hope you don't mean for good? Anyone can talk or sing about anything they want here and who really cares in the end, right? I don't care if it is politics or planes or Hillbillies or bikes or mannequins or Barbies.

So come on back and fast!

Hey yall my appologies for saying it like I wasn't coming back!!!! We got a call late sunday from our son in Baton Rouge ( in college at LSU ) that his car had quit on him and we had to go carry him another car and tow his back. He delivers pizza so he's always got car trouble naturally! We'll get this one fixed and SELL the thing I hope. Anyway we didn't get back till last night.

On top of getting stuff together to go we had to find someone BRAVE enough to come here to feed and put out water for our dog samson. He's a giant neopolitan mastiff and the size of him scares people although all you have to do is growl at him and he is off and running!! A big ol' CHICKEN!!

kiara, trai and yellowstone - sorry I left the impression that I was GONE FOR GOOD. Shoot this is TOO much fun to ever go off in a huff over ANYTHING!! Plus look at all the stuff I have learned on this thread. Yall are GREAT!!!
