Interesting site. Of the 31 people listed near me, only two donated to Bush.

Looks like they are pretty close, but GWB is a little ahead in my neighborhood.

I'm surprised at how many Howard Dean supporters there were nearby.

Question:

Why would someone donate to the DNC instead of Kerry or the RNC instead of Bush? I can kind of see in the case of the Dems, cause for a long time they didn't know who the candidate would be. But there hasn't been any doubt about Bush running again. Why give to the RNC?

I'm seriously worried about Bush supporters. Because most are under some kind of spell and support what he says and does without question or realization of what they're believing in, I wonder how they're all going to handle his loss in November without having some kind of breakdown. Because I care, I hope you all (3 or 4 supporters here) have a support group lined up or anti-psychotic medication hoarded for the initial let-down and the subsequent 4 year grieving process.

If by some miracle kerry pulls off a win... Edwards will be president within 2 years...

People will smarten up by Nov and President Bush will continue on... American people deep down don't like change...

Twelve, what if Bush doesn't win? How are you going to handle it? Because you're already on high doses of anti-psychotic and mood-altering medication, I doubt your doctor would give you more because of the risk of organ failure. Plus I worry about you mixing booze with your meds, so don't go there. When I get home from all the celebration parties in November, I'll try to be here for you for support Twelve. I promise I'll do my best.

57 contributions for the Democrats and 11 for Republicans. You gotta love living in Liberalville!

So, twelve, you gonna be the one to pull the trigger if Kerry is President? I just want to get my facts straight when it happens, so I know who to have them look for. And you have the nerve to call Liberals sick.

There are limits to the amount you can give to candidates, but no limits to the organization like the RNC or DNC.

The DNS/RNC can then use the money to "indirectly" help their candidates.

Not me gumby...but a prediction is a prediction...

Kraft we'll cross that liberal creek when we get to it... I am doubting that kerry and and co. will get in in Nov.

Oh and btw gumby if kerry does win, I will be adding to my arms collection.... I wouldn't trust that SOB as school crossing guard.

In my area all the attorneys give to Kerry or Edwards. The doctors and business men gave to Bush and the republicans. Did any of you notice any thing like that?

I did notice that as well. Odd, isn't it? Also, the working class gave to Kerry, Dean and Kucinich. They gave a good deal of money as well. Kind of tells you something, doesn't it?

No one in my area gave to Kucinich, 2 or 3 gave a little to Dean and 2 gave something like $20 to Al Sharpton(?).

You can't judge things by my area. Bush won last time by like 90%. Looks like it will be that way this time also.

Donations from my zip -

1 - Edwards

2 - Dean

9 - RNC

4 - DNC

2 - GWBush

But I question why my name and my donation to the RNC wasn't on this list.

woaw that is a neat site

I found my Dad, who uses my address, donating for the RNC

So with putting in my full address, I got
(and most are retired, but there were some physicians and lawyers, and software engineers)

Clark-6

DNC- 7

Kerry-9

Dean-8

Sharpton-1

RNC-34 !!!???

Bush 20

And yeah, I recognized some of my neighbors.

I found in the list 1 Police officer, donated $1000 to the RNC

1 Attorney donated $5000 to Bush

go figure

Yes....when playing around with last names - and used my own - I did. I saw the attorneys and professors/educators giving to either the DNC or kerry......and the self-employed business people plus people who worked for corporations and doctors giving to either the RNC or GWBush

Tonight on our local ABC news they had this same story about this web site. I wonder if someone there reads these boards.

I do imagine that there are some news people that read different discussion boards. I know that the youth boards are read by police departments because they have caught a couple of adult males going to meet young girls, but the young girls were police officers. One came to Wisconsin all the way from California to meet a underage teen. All he found was a police officer.

I found this site rather interesting. I am not going to say what party had the most contributors only that I was surprised at the amount of money that was donated....and by who.

I'll bet ABC has a reporter with the special assignment to gather the news and opinions provided on this board by you and Linda and twelvepole.

ed to add a wink and a grin for those without a sense of humor.

Take a check Helen I didn't start the thread.

I guess it's time you go to the local optician for new glasses. Maybe eyes....

I do know a Radiopersonality that reads certain discussion boards. He does say that on his radio show.

You didn't start the thread but you made the comment, doofus.

Libra, you said,
"Tonight on our local ABC news they had this same story about this web site. I wonder if someone there reads these boards."

The web site has been mentioned on the news for several months, Libra...in both local and foreign media.

And, ooops, I forgot to include your name, nearthesea...Your opinions are newsworthy too -- along with Linda, twelvepole and Libra!

<wink and grin>

I wasn't really surprised! They may say PA is a Democratic state, but only around the cities. Up here, it's a different story.

I see my physician donated $1200 to Howard Dean....and my vet to Kucinich. (I, however, will not change physicians over something this, well, trivial.)
