I use ebay most often. Some Yahoo (They are doing great BTW). However I believe that only good can come from competition. We do need a few choices. I really believe that yahoo is very close. In a couple year I think there will be at least 3 sites to choose from. If ebay doesn't have any competition then they can do what ever they want. Competition is the only way ebay will pay attention to it's customers (sellers anyway). I just believe that it is in every ones best interest to have a few choices!

I'm enjoying listing at Golds. They are rolling out a new look this week. In testing now. They have a great feature called 'saved auctions' .. makes listing and relisting (which is free up to 3x) easy! Great community .. excellent support. It's still slow (bid wise) but it's everything I see many people asking for. Business is picking up slowly but steadily.

To anyone who has the urge to tell me that they've tried and can't make any money there .. save your breath! Until people list there en masse and LEAVE some auctions there what do you expect?

I had two very decent auctions close tonight (under my morningglories id).. prices were no lower than they would have been at ebay .. well I did minus out cost of the listing fees!

Anyway .. that's my favorite site .. has been for months!

I have listed at a few sites, plan on staying at eBay but also list at Goldsauction (most people call it Golds) but it is actually Goldsauction. They are going to be rolling out a new format, and another thing like Yahoo, they are going to have a choice of when you can end your aucitons.

I too list on Gold's auction. I also list on Bidbay. Both of these sites have unique features that Ebay does not.

The traffic is also increasing at both of these sites and will continue to do so. We all must remember that Ebay has been around quite abit longer than most auction sites and that is why it has the most traffic. PTB at Ebay know this and that is why they get away with the things that they do even though they are wrong. JMHO

I have tried to sell on other auction sites but keep going back to eBay. Why?? I make money!! I buy where the deals are and I sell where the bidders are...I don't mind paying their fees when they bring in the traffic that they do...we all complain about their rules at one time or another but without them, it would be chaos!! I try real hard to obey all of them and it is kinda like driving past a police office while speeding...if I am going the speed limit, I don't have to worry..
I have had a VERY good August on ebay!!!

I do not sell on eBay at all, I am getting ready to list 300-400 auctions IN September, mostly smaller Items in support of MAM and diversity.

BidBay, Golds, Dinerauction, and SoldUSA are my choices, If I get time and am not overwhelmed, never ran over a hundred at once before, Yahoo also.

Sounds like a plan Snowhunter! I think you'll be really pleased with Golds 'saved auction' feature. Makes it easy to list and relist a large number of items. I never could get over 15 on ebay ~ I have a VERY low threshold for stress!

I list on a combination of auction sites that don't have listing fees. Therefore, I can get my items up at now additional charge, plus I get more exposure since I list on more than one. Check em' out if you feel the same way that I do:

www.Haggle.com
www.Auctionweiser.com
www.epier.com
www.321gone.com

I also feel that the MillionAuctionMarch.com idea is a good one. The site promotes other alternative auction sites that usually offer a better deal to sellers as well as buyers...

I put items on Yahoo that failed to sell on eBay -- and have been selling them, though at a slower pace. I can give my items a 'second chance' without paying any more money. I'm seriously considering no more ebay relists - 1 ebay listing and then straight to yahoo.

Automatic relists and ease of resumbit on yahoo means that I can, effectively, run an auction for 2, 3, even 4 months, fee free. That means an item that misses someone's 10-day eBay window has a better chance of being seen on Yahoo.

This is what I do. When an item does not sell the first or second time, I feel that the product that was listed may not be of interest to the people on that particular auction site (whether its Ebay or another one). I then try listing the item or items on different auction sites that do not charge a listing or relisting fee. Therefore, I do not have to worry that the listing fee(s)are cutting into my profits. Try these sites, or an assortment of them:

www.Haggle.com
www.Auctionweiser.com
www.epier.com
www.321gone.com
www.auctionvillage.com

Some of these sites might be new, but you never know what would happen to your auctions unless you list on the alternative sites. Hey, you never know what is going to happen unless you try. So give the sites listed above a chance, and the sites listed on www.MillionAuctionMarch.com a chance.. If and when they sell on those sites, and not Ebay's, you'll be thanking me...

Good Luck to all on your auction ventures...

LIFE AFTER EBAY - is GREAT! After 4 plus years, and being a Power Seller, I got sick and tired of eBay's ever changing rules, ever increasing prices, and Gestapo attitude of eBay and I began a search for another site I could sell successfully on.

I tested a multitude of sites. About 6 months ago, after much testing I found one. Now the 700 plus auctions I do every month are posted elsewhere - I still use eBay, but only for about 20 to 30 auctions a month.

Every month that passes I do fewer and fewer postings on eBay, just don't need them anymore.

eBay's attitude toward their sellers has been a blessing in disguise - they forced me to go elsewhere, and it has been GREAT!

PTL, I am no longer a slave to eBay!!
