I'm in the undecided category. Literally 50/50 between Gore and Bush.
I was impressed with Gore on the Oprah show - he's much more quick witted than I'd given him credit for.
In one segment Oprah asked a long list of standard questions - favorite book, favorite movie, etc. She asked him his favorite thing to sleep in... He grinned a little and said "in the bed." At least he's fast on his feet.

Snowyegret: you had the best quote so far.
" How do you fail in business twice when your dad's an oilman in Houston? "
LOL
Ralph Nadar? And they think Gore is stiff that guy reminds me of a marine bioligy professer I went out with once. Can you say boring? I knew you could.

Mybiddness,
1. Reduce the listing fees at eBay...
2. All members of Auction Watch are given a 20% rebate on their taxes...
3. Priority mail prices would not increase for 10 years...

texmontana, if you're gonna drag 'Daddys' into it, see if there is a ring of familiarity to this line: "Read my lips. NO NEW TAXES!" So sayeth George's daddy...The man YELLED it, vehemently! Did he mean it? Hell no. Did he create new taxes and revoke his promise? Of course!
I am not so much PRO Gore, as I am ANTI Bush, so whatever you have to say about Gore doesn't really insult me. I probably will vote for the man though because between him and little Georgie, there is no contest. Bush is an idiot. Plain and simple.

Tegan,
"His behavior in the Governor's race was really sleazy and then when his opponent tried to fight back, he decided to run a clean campaign."
Would this be anything like a Vice President who bellied up to anyone and everyone, including foreign powers, to make a few bucks for the party and then , when caught, decided to fly the banner of campaign reform?
It pains me to vote for either one of these men. The only thing that will get me to the polls is the oft-repeated thought of all of the men and women who sacrificed to preserve, among others, our right to vote. I know, it sounds corny, but it really is important to remember.
No, I'm not new to AW -- just took all of your advice and changed from my eBay id!!

I already said I didn't like either choice but I was relating for those of you out of Texas the kind of behavior that went on here. And that was the RATS part of the conversation. (pun intended)
When I first got to Texas I was taking the required Texas Government course and I will never forget what the teacher told me. A third generation Texan said "No politition gets anywhere in Texas without getting down and dirty, we expect it." I had hoped that wasn't true but we'll let history decide that.
Remember me? I was the one with the "who would you vote for if you REALLY had a choice" thread.

David Lettermen was so funny last night talking about The Bush Boy. Gore is going to be on his show next week.Bush keeps saying he'll be on the show but won't commit to a date. I think he knows Lettermen will make him squirm.
Did any one see Bush making excuses about the subliminal message? He couldn't even pronouce it. I'm not even sure how to spell how he was saying it. Something like sublimatable. He said it over and over again.
More doctors and speech therapist's have given opinions about his language. Many now are saying he has ADD and is dyslexic.

Barry(Mr. President)Barris,
Can I be your campaign manager?
I haven't decided who I will vote for but have to face the truth that tv elects people today. On the commercials we are seeing in IL. Gore is coming off much more naturally than Bush. Bush is not being given good material and is stiff in presenting it.
I just wish we could see the real people instead of the people public relations invent.
No offense Barry but I still like Elizabeth Dole.

1. Reduce the listing fees at eBay...
2. All members of Auction Watch are given a 20% rebate on their taxes...
3. Priority mail prices would not increase for 10 years...
I'm going to add a number 4.
4. Deadbeat bidders will have 20% surcharge added to their income taxes.

5. PayPal must announce any changes they want to make six months in advance. In addition they must explain how the changes will effect sellers and buyers who use PayPal.

What do you say to those who choose to ignore eight (8) years of disaster, lies, collusion, and obvious socialistic views? It is obvious many Gore supporters do so (support)as an emotional reaction rather than an intelligent choice.
The man has told and supported lie after lie after lie and many supporters do not detect it? Or many do not care? He and Slick Willie have put this country in shambles and many do not care. Forget the economy, it (economy) is not the only factor when evaluating the administration and its affect upon this country. Besides, the Gurus of finance will tell you that Clinton and his administration did not create the present economy, they inherited it as the pre-existing factors started to kick in.
The (true) negative impact of the Clinton administration is coming and the impact will probably negate the past economy in such a manner most benefits derived from the present economy will be wiped out and will be the result of Clinton and Gore's incompetence in foreign policy. You will see a rise in bankruptcy, loss of homes, loss of vehicles, loss of jobs, and a slow down in salary increases. Chances are, many of you here will be a victim. It started with crude oil affecting gas prices but hang on Lucy, this winter is going to be devastating to most American citizens.
A vote for an independent is a vote for the candidate you would less like to see win. You help put Gore in, you are helping assure that all the negative aspects of his past administration will come home to roost.
