I need to instruct you in the expertise and process of collating and refining "raw" information to enable intelligence based evaluation and dissemination.
sgtmike, why don't you prove to us once and for all just how extremely intelligent you are by utilizing your own instructions. Tell us what you have learned, based on your thorough evaluation, the merits that George Bush has to offer this country based on his record and performance. Not compared to Al Gore...we all know how you feel about him. Just Bush. Bush on his own two feet.

Enough of your spew about Gore, what about your summary of Bush? If you are pro-Bush, tell us why. Enlighten us all.

Or do you not have the evaluation of George W. Bush that you surely must if you are qualified enough to dish out instructions?

When I was a young man I too visited a farm, help do some of the chores for fun, rode on a tractor, poked a pig, but in no way am I qualified to say the experiences were such that I can claim to stand with a (true) farmer.

Of course if I were like Gore, a pliable buffoon puppet capable of molding myself to appear to be what I truly am not, I would claim to have (invented) the mule.

However, speaking of gullible, I am preparing to sell the Golden Gate Bridge that I designed and personally installed. Appears the market will be good.

Mikey,

Your own derogatory post related that Al Gore said that his father had taught him the skills of a farmer. Nowhere in the sourced information that you rely on did Al Gore claim to BE a farmer. But now when presented with the accounts of his friends and family of the subject involvement you alter your own claim?

There's another little thing: Al Gore never worked for Stars and Stripes at all. He was assigned to the public information office of the 20th Engineering brigade in Bien Hoa, RVN for the five months that he spent in country. He certainly didn't work for his father while there, as his father was no longer in office at the time (1971). He left Vietnam with the unit when it was deactivated in country.

Also, Al Gore refrained from drug use while in Vietnam, despite your reports from "his S&S buddies (which S&S buddies he could not have had), even though by that time such use was rampant owing to the hopelessness of the situation of the troops still there.

Gore AND Clinton.

Various documents, specifically Vice President Gore's "White House Call Sheets" show Gore took an active part, knowingly.

Yes, you're correct. Gore had earlier claimed he wrote for the S&S until he was confronted by a national news reporter whom had been with the S&S at which time Gore backed completely away from the claim. I guess he had to try to at least elevate himself to a (true) reporter, than just be an informational company runner.

Most news people (today) can be put in the same basket.

OK we all know sgtmike likes to argue. Maybe he's just having fun keeping the arguement going about Gore. Maybe he doesn't even like Bush. Maybe if he does like Bush he doesn't want to post what qualifications he thinks Bush has because he knows we would pick it apart.
sgtmike if this is to be a true debate you should make your stand about Bush and stand by it instead of just faulting Gore.

sgtmike,

Perhaps you have kiheicat on ignore. You should know that she is asking you a very relevant question. Please answer her, as I too am interested to hear your reply.

Did I read that right, Mikey?

You rely on the claimed confrontation by newspeople which you obtain presumably from newspeople who you classify in your last statement as unreliable in making this statement?

The plain truth is that Al Gore never claimed to have worked for S&S (who on earth would?). He was asked whether he had worked for them and said that he had not.

FYI, Stars and Stripes was a running joke throughout Vietnam. Their people wrote very creative stories from their air conditioned hotel rooms in Siagon. The combat reporters were the divisional PIOs who were out in the field with their unit troops assigned to provide truthful chronicles of the unit activities. That work is contained in the National archives, S&S stuff is in the library of Congress. Al Gore was a Spec.4.

I guess the article I read and the one(s) your reading creates a "Mexican Standoff." I guess it comes down to the credibility of the person in question, whether he did or did not. Of course, it is Gore we are relying on to tell the truth.

lol spaz THANKS! I was beginning to think the same thing.
But since sarge has clarified that I'm not on ignore it is glaringly apparent that he chooses not to answer the question. Why? I don't know. Perhaps he does not have the answer.

Anyone want to take bets on why sarge won't answer a simple question that has been asked of him going on a dozen times by various posters?

Kiheicat:

SgtMike has said many times before that he lives in a Silo i.e. he can't be backed into a corner.

His Translation: He won't admit to anything which could put him on the defensive.

My Translation: He hasn't the guts to risk it.

(If this post doesn't spur him to leave his Silo, nothing will. )

CBS News reported the results of a study that they had conducted of swing voters that concluded that most seem to have made their decisions unusually early this election year and the majority were going to Gore. From the comments that I heard in their snippets from interview/focus group discussions, Bush's chief problems with gaining support were his perceived lack of intelligence and experience. Very similar to the comments here. IFthere is any validity to their reports, Bush may be toast.

And it is fairly simple, Mike. You want us to believe that Bush is the better man. Well PROVE it to us! Tell us why you think he should be running this country. Parade his merits and shining record before us! Don't tell us why the other guy should NOT, tell us why George W. SHOULD!

Is that so difficult???

Like I said earlier today he's either aruging just for the sake of the arugment or he can't come up with good dialog to sway our opinions.
He hasn't posted for a while so maybe he's busy compiling his research for the truth and goodness of Bush.

It may not have a lot to do with rats, but when he was a kid, George W. Bush enjoyed
putting firecrackers into frogs, throwing them in the air, and then watching them
blow up.

That was when it was too hot to plat outside.

Why isn't it strange that mikey's own governor of Illinois has suspended executions in his state because of the preponderance of newly available DNA evidence has shown many condemned persons to be innocent while in Texas executions have proceeded at accelerated rates since Bush's election?

If mikey is a cop, which he alludes to being without ever flat stating that he is, might his support of Bush, if there is one, be rooted in his hope for a national acceleration of executions thereby covering up his own mistaken investigations?

LOL chococake... yes I believe you are right... sgtmike is somewhere hovered over his pc, with various notes spread around him trying to come up with the ultimate thesis on the track record of George W. Bush that will convince us all what a superstar he is and what a bang-up job he'll do as President.

Either that or he's sulking, lol

krs, I hadn't heard that one about the firecrackers in the frogs... that's sick!
