I won't be silenced!
SOME Christians are just plain EVIL! That's why they have to preach so much--they're hiding something evil and sinister. Beware of those who constantly praise the lord. LOL!

In the area of preaching the best example we have is Christ,he is the best preacher and a model for all to follow.
Plus his followers where encouraged to do the same he gave them specific instructions in this regard.
Preaching helped spread Christianity through the then known world and was refferd to as the The Way.
I guess the fact that Jesus and his Disciples preaching must mean they are evil too.

How 'bout we not turn this into a "how Christianity spread to the world" thread? Not a direction you want to take this into.

nofishing, you are correct in saying that there are evil people who call themselves Christians--but they are false Christians. And some do hide behind constant praise. We have to be careful and look at what's in the heart of the person that is preaching. But there is nothing wrong with sincere praise the Lord. Don't worry, those false preachers will have their day of judgement.
God loves you, He made you, and He has a plan for your life.

I just got done reading the feedback for patel on eBay, I'm still cracking up! Definately over the top. 'He deserves a beating.' I'd like to know why people bid on these auctions with a feedback rating like that??

Meya,
I sent you an email earlier (to the address you have on file with AW) asking you to provide a link to the article you had copied in your post.
You didn't get here in time and I had to delete it for possible copyright infringement.
It's okay to summarize and provide snippets but not okay to copy and paste the entire article even if you are giving credit to the publisher.

It is far better in a business with international sales or even just sale inside the USA to Wish customers you don't know Happy Holidays rather then Merry Christmas
Regular customers you know well enough you can wish merry Christmas in your Email communication.
On another note:
When I was younger late teens eerily 20s I was in bible college learned that not all have the same Ideals or beliefs Christians do and also learned that smiling and telling some one god loved them and handing them a bible tract was soliciting.
we were on a field trip to six flags with the church youth group I was a chaperone with a small group of young kids to watch and take care of for the day we were all waiting to get on a ride having a great time I seen no harm in handing out tracts handed them out to a few people including the person running the ride, When the ride was over security was there and escorted me and my group from the park about an hour and a half after we got there Turns out they have a rule of no soliciting in the park and handing out tracts and greeting people by saying god bless you or Jesus loves you was on there solicitation list.
In the end they did agree to let us back in after the church group discovered we were missing and agreed to leave all are bibles and tracks at the gate till we left the park we all finished our day there and had a fairly good time.
For all The believers out there Just know that all the things we are facing here today was predicted in the Christian bible and in writings of most of other beliefs long ago all have a heaven or reincarnation in an after life some how or the other These writings tell us again and again if we are quiet and don't confess what we feel the rocks them selves will start shouting the word of god and we all know that most of the TV and radio towers and satellite transmitter and receiver that board cast cable out and even internet servers Are built in the mountains and the hills on the Rocks I would say the rocks are Already starting to shout the good new of all faiths and beliefs not just Christian and one day the mockers faith will wake up and no matter how many people the earth has on it they will find them selves alone and in war with principalities they not only will not be able to see because they will not believe but cant fight off or beat with all the guns and warheads they can muster up.
Ok off the soap box now just had to point this out all have faith and believe in something and someone even the ones that mock laugh and make light of faith believe Highly enough in them selves to laugh at faith of all Kinds.

In an attempt to explain why they did not want you to preach to people at the amusement park consider this. How would you feel after paying to get in and enjoy yourself, if were subjected to a stranger trying to recruit you for a political party?
People are not there to consider political matters and your attention in that regard is invasive of their privacy and the fact they have paid to enjoy an enviroment for the day that is relaxing and refreshing. Being approched to change political parties implies there is an error in the one the person has now and is not relaxing, it is stressfull.
If you are of that group that feels there is nothing else to life than preaching and every moment of every day must serve that purpose - well that is why you are not welcome. Some of us have a life that allows for recreation and don't feel we are sinfull if we are not actively evangelizing 24 hours a day. If you don't have a life outside preaching we don't want to be around you. This includes at restaurants - movies - public beaches - at workrelated parties and retreats - and other places we expect to be part of an anonymous crowd.
It is the same as a person talking on a cell phone in a movie. They are destroying the setting we all paid for. Same root also - self importance.

PATEL -
http://www.vrane.com/anni.html has a tool that will let you cancel ALL bids on ALL your auctions by any single user. I asked him for this tool a couple months ago when someone had a similar problem.
Forward the email to [email protected] AND report it to his ISP. The man is a nutcase! And if you can't figure out who his ISP is, Post the FULL headers here and I'll explain how to read them.

dman2 - While in college, you 'learned that smiling and telling some one god loved them and handing them a bible tract was soliciting'. Then you 'seen no harm in handing out tracts handed them out to a few people including the person running the ride' at an amusement park that forbids soliciting.
What did you expect the park officials to do?

I believe in God and in His son Jesus. You have the right to say you do not believe just as I have the right to say I DO believe.
It does not concern me if the person who started this was a troll or not. Through this thread, the non-believers have the right to say they do not believe in Christ...but I want to say I do believe in Christ. I have a right to say that as well. I thought we had freedom of speech. We might not always agree with each other, but why show malice towards one that does not believe as you do.
