Right now I'm waiting on a check from a slow-pay/no-pay, which allegedly has been sent TWICE in the last month. The way the woman kleeps stalling me tends to make me think I've got a deadbeat trying to stave off an NPB warning on her record. One check getting lost I could see, but two is a bit hard to swallow. I said she could have till the middle of next week, as an extension at the
start of this week. She'sbeen rather la-de-da, asking if the second check had come yet, as she's done the last TWO WEEKS. Folks, I'm not afraid to give negs,if I have to, even if I get a retaliatory neg.I just note that it's retaliatory and refer bidders to the other person's feedback for the rest of the story. I'm starting to check bidder's feedback near EOA and cancelled one that sent up a red flag for serious [8 negs!] NPB trouble yesterday. The seller beware!

I've got a 10 day 'limit'
Simply because, I'd like to handle my transactions quickly.
Most of my buyers (some take 14 days)
pay within the 10 days, so it's possible.
I mean, I ship my items within 24 hours after receiving payment, so why can't they sent money within 24 hours after my email notice??

Just my two cents worth...
I do lay out my payment expectations (payment within 7 business days), but rarely do I follow them religiously. A quick email from the buyer soon after the auction ends goes a LONG way, since good communication in the online auction arena is paramount. I'll cut the bidder a LOT of slack if they just stay in touch with me.
At the end of my auctions this is what I state:
I buy and sell with honesty...please, don't bid unless you intend on following through and paying. I email, ship, and leave feedback promptly, and expect the same of my "commerce partners". I WILL leave negative feedback for all deadbeats.
This may sound a little harsh, but I don't want there to be any questions about how I conduct business. If there is a potential deadbeat perusing my auctions, I want that person to realize that there may be greener pastures somewhere else.
