my comment is only that, as a seller, i'd sure like to be forewarned about such a pain in the --- buyer
to answer your question, eventer, yes once i left no feedback at all. the seller did make good eventually, but was soo reluctant, graceless, and unwilling to take any responsibility for her error - it was just a simple error, really. she had a perfect record, i thought it very unlikely this would happen again, so just left nothing.

Before blocking his e-mail, I would cut and paste each and every one of his rude e-mails into one
VERY LONG
....
RECORD OF
HIS NASTY EMAILS
....
an attestment to his obnoxious character
....
with this message at the top:
"VERY important message regarding feedback at end of e-mail."
and at the end of the e-mail:
"I will take your suggestion to leave positive feedback under consideration. Thank you."
Sign off, send it, block his e-mail, and forget about it! Never, ever leave him feedback unless he leaves feedback for your first -- which will likely be a negative.

As an eBay buyer I have left feedback for all of my purchases except one; fortunately, all of my transactions have been good experiences - I'm a careful bidder and have been happy with everything I've purchased.
The one time I didn't leave feedback? I ordered a fine arts print from a man who said in his listing that he was liquidating the contents of several stores and didn't have time to leave feedback. He had received 2000+ positive feedbacks, and a perfunctory check of those told me that he had been true to his word: no feedback from him for anyone. So I didn't leave feedback for him.
Oddly enough, even though this happened a year ago, I still remember it occasionally and feel guilty about it. Go figure!

I have several times not left feedback for someone who was extremely picky in some way. The transaction concluded successfully, they just kind of drove me insane by the end. Didn't really deserve a neg, maybe a neutral, but I left nothing. They weren't really bad, paid & such, but had such an attitude.
In the long run, not leaving feedback drives that sort of person way more nutty than even a neg would.

I agree with spazmodeus & jmjones6061 eastwest ~ wait to leave yours until he has left fb for you.
Email your bidder back. Explain to him that feedback is something that is earned. That it is something that is up to the seller to decide to do on thier own, it is not something that is done when demanded.

I had something similar to that, where the buyer wasn't entirely satisfied, but didn't want to return the item, but did demand feedback.
I responeded, "Ebay does not require us to leave feedback. It is our policy not to leave any feedback when the buyer indicates something less than total satisfaction."
