Jerry, you might be off the hook. Ask your customer to examine the frogs closely. In particular have him describe the arms of the frog that is "hitching a ride". Don't tell him why. When you get your description check out the info here. It might be anatomically impossible for your frogs to be in flagrante delicto.

Since you didn't have a picture of the lamp for us to look at it is hard to say if the lamp was innapropriate. However, if it looked anything like this then an immediate refund is in order.

I've felt bad about your previous difficulties, more so because I had no help to offer, and I'm glad that I can finally be of some assistance.

First, I want both the "piggybacking" frogs and the otters. They are two of only four animals missing from my "piggybacking" animals collection. I recently acquired both the elephant and the spotted hyena statues, which I previously only had photographs of, and will be delighted to fill the spaces reserved on my basement shelves with these items from you.

If you don't mind I'll send cash for the total value of the items plus the $18.00 postage refund, return postage and whatever s/h fees you determine are needed. I would prefer professional packing by MBE to avoid any possibility of transit damage.(Sorry about the "sending cash" thing but my lawyer made me promise not to use checks or credit cards to buy any more animal statues while my appeal is pending.)

The misunderstanding I encountered when displayiny my "piggybacking" animal collection at a local community fair last July mirrors the attitude that eBay is expressing.

Fortunatly I meet a English Lit. Professor, when we were both assigned to the same location to perform Community Service requirements, and he was willing to document in writing that the statues I displayed were actually depictions of animals playing piggyback as referred to in an 18th century Scottish nursery rhyme.

I'll be glad to send you a copy of the letter or give you the rehab address where you can reach the Professor if you want a frog specific letter to forward to eBay.

I look forward to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion for everyone involved and can't express how excited I am to add these items to my collection.

Doesn't say much for Jerry's own love life if he can't tell when frogs and otters are "making love."

Thanks for the laughs, Jerry12.

Actually, Jerry12, what you need to do is send him one of those green turtle lamps that you got at auction. You know, the anatomically correct ones? He can start a green wildlife erotica lamp collection. Who knows how much they'd be worth in five years. BTW, are these frogs anatomically correct also? If so, they'd have a higher resale value.

Jerry, if you are going to refund and relist you should do it quickly. I've heard the new lamps with talking frogs will be out soon. They say,"rubbit, rubbit."

Jerry12,

Is the frog on top asleep with a SE grin? While the frog on the bottom is wide awake with a look of anticipation ? These are important questions if you are going to try to make a case to ebay for reinstatement. BTW, Would you happen to have a cow lamp?? I have this friend........

Is either one of them smoking a cigarette?

If one is, then you can safely tell your bidder the humping is definately over.

The frog on top in SMW's picture looks like it should have a caption:

OOOOHHH!! This feels SOOOOO good.

IOW...Ecstasy.

Thanks for the memories.

But before you go, I really think that you should offer a full refund. Have your buyer register his CC at AW so that it can be credited. No danger that it will get lost in the crowd.
