mrspock I did the same thing yesterday, came back & registered my credit card. Guess AW is just too close to my heart, can't stay away. I spent a week at OTWA, found it friendly, nice people too. But, I never spent that much time here at the RT & almost everything there is RT. Nothing wrong with that at all, I just prefer EO.
This is where I learned almost all I know about online auctions & all that goes with it.
I'm glad to be back & glad to see some familiar names.

I like it here, and I like the format over at mootropolis. Some reason OTWA seems to have a cheap software feel to it, and all those little annoying smileys everywhere.

I prefer nice clean looks, and AW and the Moo both have it.

I wonder what happens when Andale gets bought and/or bankrupt. Where are the OTWA people gonna run next, bidville?

ROFL! Sorry, had to laugh at my own thought there.

dman3 said,
Actually if you look at things like the markets are at this time, everything has pretty much been shaken out, The companies that are left are pretty much the lucky ones and things are about to get better soon.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
It takes more than luck to survive this dot com slaughter, without wall street hyping and venture capital money, all these dot coms have to learn to run a business just like the rest of the business world know all along.
if sales/revenue cannot cover all expenses on a cashflow basis, their days are numbered.
actually most businesses are on accrual basis, accounting for depreciation and amortisation ,good will as someday these capital equipments will need to be replaced.
refer to your own cybersales and you can easily see what i mean-how many of us are on the second or third PC,digital camera, scanner ??

It's time for everybody to go home if you can't be nice to each other.
Boy was I surprised to see my plea for help with 35 responses and to find out they all were not trying to answer my question.
I did not mean to start a name calling thread, was only looking for the answer to my question.
Thanks to those who pointed me in the right direction.
You were right. My email is free. I was thinking I pay for internet access so it's not free. Duh! I don't pay altavista.
Sorry

Now if you don't have something nice to say....Don't say anything.

You are either part of the problem or part of the solution!

Mom,

You need to go to the otwa now and spank them. They started a thread about your thread. It is so funny.

I do not want to get in trouble so I will refrain (for now) about saying any more.

A cyber spanking from connorscorner doesn't sound so bad at this point.

How's that for fluff? Or substance for that matter?

Is Andale or AW in the red or the black at this point

Both are in the black, not in the financial sense but in the "bull's eye" sense. EBay is going for the whole enchilada and any company that had made money out or is trying to make money from auction management is being zeroed in on.

"You need to go to the otwa now and spank them. They started a thread about your thread. It is so funny"

A FINE example of how OTWA has to discuss other threads from other boards. LOL!

Let's look at some headers from OTWA to show the fine example of their discussions as well: (headers are in tact not to protect the innocent)

OT - How's the weather where you are?

Is this tattling?

Did ebay kiss Home Depot's @ss?

The Adventures of Mrs Jensen

OT: Survivor III

Linky Dinky Dinky Dink Linky Dinky Do Part 2

OT: Diet and Exercise Quandry

OT ~ The perfect Christmas present for a cat . . .

George Harrison possibly hospitalized again?

Can you register with ebay using a "fake" Visa?

All this in the EBAY category. Yes, siree! Sounds like a real winner of topics place. Should help my ebay sales go through the roof!

You are a very powerfull poster on the boards when you start a thread you really start a thread.

These posts have started a thread about your post on a another thead on at least one if not 4 other message boards.

I think you may have started the most reviewed threat on the internet to dated.

I havent check the new letters yet but no doubt in the days to come they to will more then likely be talking about this thread

My comp crashed for the last week, but just before that I went over to OTWA & attempted to register, only to find that requirement for a paid service e-mail. Well, I don't use that one, for 4 years on eBay have used hotmail for 1 account, yahoo the other, guess if its good enough for them, the heck with OTWA, and anyway since I use the services here I'm a grandfather. Isn't it strange how everyone seems to have some kind of nuisance clause!
