I got tired of that "PG" moderation. Join a church group if you want moderation! It was a total waste of money. It is getting dry here though seeing the same threads day after day, but I still learn enough to stick around.

I'm amazed sometimes by the bashing, but I have to admit, it does make people exercise their brain before exercising their typing finger. It adds to the quality of the threads IMO.

NO...it doesn't (or didn't in the old days with the old crew) add to the "quality"....I remember nice people getting their ideas and suggestions TRAMPLED for posting anything other than what was considered "the popular opinion", (THEIRS), and I remember the vicious back biting even among the "crew"....it was sickening, and I consider myself thick-skinned! It's nice to see while some good-natured ribbing might still go on, and maybe even some strong opinions voiced, the old method of "pounding people into the ground" seems to have left with the "quilt crew".

Hmmmm......I guess it's all the way we perceive things?

I have a thin skin and I've survived here since '98.

It is a much better forum without the mods though.

You also have to remember that since the moderators left, AW required a credit card to post here and that got rid of the posters who I felt did a lot of name calling. I am sure there are still moderators hanging around here as previously a thread had been locked by one. This is a calm cool place now with lots of pleasant people and information.

ClassicRock-on a previous thread Jackswebb stated why he posts in caps and I don't think he should have to repeat it.

Please don't mention that quilt person. I'm afraid she will come back. I used to cringe whenever I saw she had posted a response to something. Most people here really want to help. Lots of times they have given me a different perspective on a problem I am having and they disagree with me but don't go for the jugular.

Jack, you remind me of another Jack we have locally. He rambles at times but he's a good guy.

Sure, imagine a place where you can say anything and not be held accountable, so if you have a stupid idea, hopefully someone will trample all over you so next time you think it through. It's something that takes time though. The transformation won't happen overnight.

I was here lurking while all the hoorah was going on over having to give AW our CC's and I thought that the regular crowd was just a bunch of damn crybabies over it all. I mean whats the big deal, so AW asks for CC's so what.

Before all of the regular crybabies left I think that alot of people didn't post here because of the possibility of being bashed for what they might say. I for one am glad they are gone.

ok4leather, They (in the round table) are just getting their revenge for all of the Clinton & Gore bashing that went on for too long, 8 years. It's funny though that some of the conspiracies that are raised over there about Bush are some of the same types of conspiracies that were raised against Clinton during his administration. I'll probably get bashed for this. There's 2 members in particular that allways back each others play, I won't mention their user names though. The round table used to be a fun place to post before it became a political forum.

I have no problem giving a large company like AW my CC #. It's the tiny, unknown, startup internet and online auction sites that are crazy for asking for that valuable info.
