I have received the following Email from a good friend, I was wondering if any one has any knowledge to what is mentioned in the email about the UPS Uniforms.............and did Ebay allow them to be sold ......or is this un-true.

There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service
(UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a
serious threat as bogus drivers can drop off anything to anyone with
deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver appears
at your door, they should be able to furnish VALID I.D. Additionally,
if someone in a UPS uniform comes to make a drop off or pick up, make
absolutely sure they are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn't make
deliveries or pickups in anything except a company vehicle. If you have
a problem, IMMEDIATELY call your local law enforcement agency right
away!

I read on several of the hoax and folklore websites that it was not true, and denied by both UPS and eBay.

Uniforms were indeed sold on ebay, and they went for big bucks. This came up at another site(chatroom)and we all saw the auctions.
shirts were selling for 700-1200.00 and bought by several people who didnt buy anything else. All the buyers were newly registered, all feedback were from UPS auctions."They" can deny till the cows come home, several hundred people saw those auctions. The FBI was brought in,....

You saw the auctions?
I'd guess the FBI will be visiting you shortly.
How about giving us a link to the chats discussing those auctions.

Well now we know that at least one fact is true:

eBay spokesman Kevin Pursglove is a liar.
