I didn't know this, but it seems you can't send a NPB on fixed price items.

Does that mean you also can't collect FVF on deadbeats?

Then eBay shouldn't charge you a listing fee unless you sell your item.

What is the advantage of a fixed price listing?

Are you sure? I just looked at some of my successful Fixed Price auctions and this is at the bottom of the page.

If the seller is unable to establish contact with the buyer within 3 business days of the end of the item, he/she may lose the place as buyer, and be at risk for receiving negative feedback and/or a Non-Paying Bidder/Buyer warning, both of which can ultimately lead to suspension from eBay.

This is what I got when I tried to send a NPB alert:

Warning: Some of the listings you selected are not eligible for NPBAs at this time. Note that an NPBA can only be sent for eBay auctions, and only between 7 and 45 days after the end of the auction

You have chosen to send a Non-Paying Bidder Alert (NPBA) to eBay for the following auctions.

NPBAs cannot be sent for 1 of the listings you selected, for one or more of the following reasons:

They are Fixed Price items, for which NPBAs are not supported.

Vendio does not seem to support filing them but you can do it thru ebay directly.

You need to wait the 7 day time frame. And that would be 7, 24 hour day periods. I have had deadbeats on fixed price before and the system works exactly the same as for regular auctions. Also be sure to file NPB utilizing the site map only. If you are using the pop ups, that can cause to not go through either.

Was it a multiple item Fixed Price Auction?

The FAQ has this

If I had a Dutch auction or multiple quantity Fixed Price item, how many times may I submit a Non-Paying Bidder Alert Form?
If your auction was a Dutch auction or a multiple quantity Fixed Price item, you may file a Non-Paying Bidder Alert against as many bidders as you deem necessary, but you are entitled to file a Non-Paying Bidder Alert Form only once for each such auction. Thus, please wait until you know the status of all winning bidders before you file a Non-Paying Bidder Alert Form.
