Wow, never looked at Spare Dollar before.

Checked out some of the sellers who use it. I like the templates alot more tha the ones I get with Vendio and the scrolling gallery box is great.

Now I gotta figure out if it is worth it compared to Vendio.

Looks like I will have to pass on Channel Advisor. I had my first auctions close and it was way too cumbersome to deal with the invoice system. I guess Shooting Star is still the best and there is no monthly fee for it.

Seth,

I also have a Spare Dollar account. For me it is no good because there is no way to easily combine multiple auctions and also relists cannot be done through SD.

marcn: I also left CA and tried Vendio-- again. But, paying $29.95 a month for CA or paying $60 a month at Vendio made me return (although I do not like their attitude over there).

I really like CA's invoicing system but I guess it is because I am used to it. I love the icon system and I always know exactly what is what in the payment and shipping part. I find listing slow and cumbersome as I am used to the offline system vendio offers. I had used Vendio for 3 years before going to CA.

Were there specific problems you had? Just learning anything new is a pain! I know because I just spent 2 months trying them all before returning to CA.

I don't know, usually don't list a whole lot, but now my Vendio bill has passed the Spare Dollar pricing so I think I may give them a look since it's free for 30 days.

Marcn - you said...

"I also have a Spare Dollar account. For me it is no good because there is no way to easily combine multiple auctions and also relists cannot be done through SD. "

Combining auctions is easily done. You merely 'check' the boxes next to the auctions you want to combine and then hit the 'Combine auctions' buttom at the bottom of the page.

And relists can be done through SD. You just 'check' the auctions you want to relist. You can't 'schedule' the relist - it happens immediately - but that's ok with me. You can change the title but not the price on the relist. (To change the price, you have to revise the auction through ebay.) Again, this is not a big deal to me.

One big advantage to SD is revising auctions that you already have scheduled to start in the future. With Vendio, you have to 'un-schedule' the listing, then revise the auction, then 're-schedule' the listing. In SD, you simply revise the scheduled listing. I've found that to be very helpful.

And SD is only $4.95/month (includes 50 mg of image storage space) with no final value fees. Definitely reasonable. And it's very intuitive.
