Hi Tigerlady hahahaha You know we can not resist aiming a few funny arrows at you sometimes. But Zilvy started it. You know she did. ROTF
Sorry Zilvy. You know that I love you. But I had to blame someone. LOL
Mouse glad to hear that you got your optical Mouse. LOL That sounds funny to say.
Hi Kazanne, you are doing just great, keep it up. LOL

Hey Netta, not only is it optical, but it's a wheel mouse too! Woohoo!!
Oh my gosh, I forgot to say a huge THANK YOU to Pharlap! Her package arrived today and I am one happy camper She sent me 3 boxes of Fruity Bix Bars, yummy! I had 2 for my breakfast I didn't realize she'd sent it already, I knew she was going to but I was surprised when it came today. Now I feel bad that I haven't made it to the post office with hers yet It seems the only days I get out of the house lately are for my torture sessions, and by the time I get out of there the p.o. is closed. I will have to make an extra effort to get there some day this week!
New news on Dad. It seems he also cracked his kneecap when he fell over the weekend. He didn't notice it because his back hurt much worse. But the x-rayed it today and found it. Right now they just have a brace on it and he will see the orthopedist Thursday. Sigh, we had hoped he didn't break anything. Poor guy!
posted on April 10, 2001 12:06:39 AM newTigerlady, would it be just optical mouse, that sounds better I think . Hhmmmmmm we have a dilemma on our hands.
posted on April 10, 2001 12:09:18 AM newMouse I am so sorry about your dad's knee, I sure hope he will be alright. Healing always seems to take longer when they are elderly.
Keep you chin up.
I bet you had a field day when Pharlap's parcel arrived.

Well when you go to the Post Office, can you pick some stamps up for me. ROTF I am about to use the last of mine to pay some bills.

Sorry about your Dad, Mouse - I hope it won't take too long to heal! {{{HUGS}}} to you both!
At least you had a nice surprise in the mailbox today! I got my "surprise" Saturday. A ring I ordered came. Got a real DEAL on it, too. Only $15 for a HUGE mother of pearl/silver ring. I LOVE it, and have hardly taken it off since Saturday!
Here's a cute little cartoon the hubby sent me the other day! I just LOVE it!
Well, sorry to be a party pooper, but I'm getting really tired here. I'm gonna' go vegg (sp?) out in front of the ol' tube for a while, so MAYBE I can get to the point where I might actually be able to fall asleep by the time the hubby gets up.

Okay gang, I have got to tell you something really funny that happened to me today.
I was driving down the road, and I came up behind this old yellow VW combi van thing. Anyway on the back was this sign saying "don't laugh it might be your mother in here", and all these old ladies (about 5 of them) were waving out the back window. I nearly ran off the road from laughing.
It kind of made my day. Parts of today needed cheering up I can tell you.
posted on April 10, 2001 12:50:30 AM newTiger what a lovely hubby you have. I am so glad you are happy with your purchase. It always makes me feel on top of the world when a purchase arrives and it is just what I thought it would be or sometimes it can be even better than I was expecting and that really makes my day.

Had a very HOT curry for tea tonight, don't think it's agreeing with me.....
Feeling a bit sick in the tummy and elsewhere.
Shall depart now and try possum searching again, the little blighters are ruining my nights.

Hi nettak, Just having a chuckle at the lttle old ladies in their Kombi.
One of the funniest stickers I ever saw was a young lass in a little hatchback.
Her very prominent sticker announced
"I may have lost my virginity, but I've still got the box it came in!

Hello Bob, I just thought it was too funny not to mention.
You know what else happened today, I had to ring directory assistance, you know good old Telstra, well the number used to be 013 but now it is 12455, so I ring the right # and get a bloody recording. Then to make matters worse I had to talk to the recording and tell it who's number I wanted and where they were. So I talked into the machine, and said LOGAN HEART CENTRE, LOGAN PRIVATE HOSPITAL, you will never guess what the machine says back to me. The number you want is for Pacific Cinema Complex. Huh, where does it come up with that from the Logan Heart Centre at the Logan Private Hospital. Well I just hung on until I got a real person to talk to, and she came on the phone and said the correct number to me straight away. Go figure.

Oh kiddies I gotta tell you, my little heart is pumping. I just got in a bidding war with someone, but I won. I still got a really good deal. Today I lost out on two other auctions, but they went too high for what they were so I gladly let them go to someone else. I set my limit and that is as far as I will go, but with this one tonight I did not want to show my entire hand straight away only for some smarty to beat me a the final second. Tonight I was the one to get in at the final second, and I have to tell you it feels damn good.
posted on April 10, 2001 03:29:43 AM newnettak, Don't start me off about automatic answering services. They have to be right up there as one of my pet hates.
The other thing that gets me is when you finally get through to where you want and you're put on hold, played crappy music to and then told that your call may be monitered as a training exercise.
Some of the things that I've been known to say are so impossible to do that even an Olympic Gymnast would't be able to do it!
I often wonder if anyone ever played one of my calls as a training exercise!

Netta, your back!! I've had to talk to those machines too, but never had your problem.
You should have asked the cinema if they had a heart and asked the hospital what pictures they were showing.
Adorable son gone to bed already, hubby left watching T.V. on his lonesome, All Saints on tonight so I'll have to make sure that I'm off the computer by then.

For the benefit of our American mates this is an Aussie possum.
We have quite a few kinds here, from little tiny ones to big, up there in your face types.
This one is what we call a Brushy Tail.

Good for you Netta with the Auction, I'm going to have to do some serious bidding myself. Well, All Saints is on now , so I'm outa here for now, I'll check in again tomorrow.
See you all then, have a great night all!!
posted on April 10, 2001 03:40:22 AM newKazanne All Saints has just started I can hear it on the TV.
What happened to Eric's job??? Tell me before I go crazy, I can't ring and ask because you are using the phone line. LOL
Bob, I am so sick of machines for everything. Yes I do use a message bank for your messages when I have to do the banking or leave the office and phones unattended, but that has my voice on it and I usually tell clients that I will not be long, at least I have a pleasant message on it.
How are the possums?? Is it possums' 10 Bob 0?? hahah
posted on April 10, 2001 03:47:21 AM newnettak, I don't know if we've got them all or not. Maybe we'll find out later tonight.
The tiler repaired the roof today and re-pointed a lot of cracked mortar so hopefully we'll keep them out!

Just saw your last message to me Netta -
Eric and I went shopping at Sunnybank Plaza today for a inflatable mattress to go camping with. Everything was fine until I went to pay for it with my keycard!!!!
The cheque he got the other day from work had bounced and now we owe the bank heaps.
We went and fronted them at work, they simply said that they were having problems of their own and that it would take a few days for them to fix us up!!!!!!!
I DON'T THINK SO... I piped up and said that I want the money [CASH] by tomorrow. As it is, they already owe Eric for another weeks wages on top of that...
I don't know what we are going to do if they don't cough up with the money before Easter.
I was so furious and upset when we came home that I sat down and poured myself a drink [or maybe it was 3] lost count anyway.
Oh well, life wasn't meant to be easy was it?

Seeing as how I skived off today and played golf, I'm going to have to log off and do some auction photos.
Catch you all later!

God Karen, I am sorry. Remember this morning you said that you could use the extra money. You never realised just how much you were going to need it. See Eric was right, it does sound as if they are indeed going to go down the gurgler.
Don't stress something will turn up for you. I bet you had more than 3 drinks.
Bob, I hope you have got all the little critters, they can be a pain in the bum I know.
Hey have either of you tried the yukky peeps, I got some today and they are the most disgusting tasting thing, give them a wide wide berth. LOL hahah
