Hi nettak and all.
Had the roof fixed but still have at least one possum up there.
Did he make a racket last night!
I've lifted a tile off in the hope he'll go out tonight. I'll have to remember to replace it before I turn in.
With any luck he'll be locked out in the morning.

Gee, has it turned cold today.
Yesterday was warm and sunny. Played golf all day.
Today has been storms and bitter cold all day. It's snowing up in the high country tonight.
The forecast for the Easter weekend is pretty good though. Mild and sunny until about next Wednesday.
Now, if only I could believe that!

Hi Pharlap, I couldn't find out much about the train set but I did some photos last night and I'm going to list it this week.
I'll start it on Friday afternoon, Aussie time, Thursday evening US time, and run it for ten days and see how we go.

I'll have to check it out. I told my father about it (he's big on antiques and collectables) and he sounds interested so I'll have to show him your auction...
Does the brand name start with a 'B'?

Well I am hoping like crazy that it will turn cold up here. LOL
We are wanting a really cold one this year. Everything is ready just waiting for the wind and rain ect. Maybe a bit of snow could help my cause. LOL hahaha
Just a bit of wishful thinking on my part.
Well what is everyone doing for easter, are any of you going away?? We have to work on the Saturday so we are not going away. Anyway all the kids' are home and most have friends coming over. Oh joy.

pharlap, No brand name, but there is every likelyhood that it is a Bing. I have found a virtually identical set, only a later electric version, listed under Bing in the Millers collectible guide 1992/93.
The value for that one was 300-350 pounds sterling.
This one being clockwork may be a bit more desirable.
Fingers crossed.

Ha ha, very funny Pharlap!
I seem to be having problems on this one today as well. I'm not sure why considering we just reformatted it I know everyone raves about ZoneAlarm, but my problems started after I installed it. So I uninstalled it and it locked up again! Foul beasts!
Anyway, good luck on the train Bob!
We had a bit of a cold spell here Netta. It rained last night and we actually had to turn the heater back on! Unheard of this time of year here in Phoenix.
Did you guys see my post at the bottom of the last page?

Bob when did you say your son's assaulter goes to court?? It is soon isn't it? We will all be praying for a good outcome for your family.
Mouse, Do you let your kitty sleep with you as well as sit on your lap at the desk? My stupid cat can't seem to get it through his head that I am not the only one who can feed him, if I am not out of bed when he is ready to be feed, he will sit at our closed door and meow...Loudly.
If he is outside, he will jump up and come in through our window, and don't ask me how he does this but he never touches my husband he seems to jump right over top of him and land on me. Well that is not the sort of wake up call that I want. Almost makes me wet my pants in fright. LOL

Nettak, for some reason it has been delayed again. We're not sure at the moment what is happening.
Be glad when it's all over and done with.
With your busy season soon to start, do you have trouble getting appliances?
A friend of mine has a very busy business refurbishing gas heating and cooking appliances. This time of year he is flat chat but he has a huge stock of spare parts.
Let me know if he can be of use to you.

Actually all of the heaters that we mainly deal with actually come from Melbourne, a lot of them are made down there, probably because of the colder climate.
I always tell our clients that it takes at least two winters to season the new heater in, and I know that they think I am crazy but after a couple of years they know what I am talking about. Even using the old seasoned Ironbark they still do not get the best burning out of there heaters until they have been using it for a couple of years.
We do not sell the heaters, but the fellows from the heater supplies often get me to give advice to new buyers because I know more about the products then they do. Now that is sad but true.
If they only took a bit of time and researched things like I do, they would have a bit of important information for there customers.

I'm not sure Pharlap, I'll have to go look.
Netta, oh yes they all sleep with me. I feel so loved when I wake up and they're all piled around me. Just yesterday all but one was asleep with me. Even KD is starting to learn how to cuddle. She was so skittish when we got her, we think she may have either been abused or out on the streets so long she was starting to distrust humans. But when she's in heat, we can get away with picking her up and petting her more. Her need for love outweighs the "I want to run away" feelings! LOL But it's doing good, she's more loveable when she's not in heat now. Boy I sure hope we can get her spayed soon, she's driving us crazy! She is normally a quiet, shy kitty, but when she's in heat she has the loudest meow of them all! Pogo has just started going into heat too, but she's much more quiet, thank goodness. I'm just glad all the boys are neutered so we don't have a million kittens running around. We've done that enough in our family! As much as I love kittens, there are enough animals out there that don't have homes, and I don't want to add to that number!

Bob I forgot to tell you, that is the main part of our business, although we do have other business interests as well. But this is one that we have built up from scratch, and we have one of the best business names in this field and we are very proud of that fact. LOL listen to me brag.

Good for you nettak! It's good to see people do well.
I'm sure that you've both worked hard. You deserve to reap the rewards.
I've run my own businesses for years, and as you know it can be bloody hard work.
It always makes me laugh when people think your on easy street. They don't see the seven days a week and all the midnight hours you put in to get to be successful.
It's only recently that I've been in a posistion to take things a bit easy and start living a "life" again.

WOW do I know where you are coming from Bob. Yes we sometimes work 7 days a week and it can feel like 9 days a week if you know what I mean. Our office is at home and most of our clients know this fact, and some of them are so rude that they will ring at 10 PM and then say 'Oh I am sorry to be ringing at such a late hour' , I feel like saying well why do it, you fool. But I am alway nice to the client, well most of the time anyway. LOL The occasional one gets to me and I have to be stern with them.
We leave the message bank get the late night callers now and if we want to talk to them we will call them back, if not they can wait until business hours.
We had this clown a couple of years ago, decide that he was going to beat us down, and take all our clients. Anyway to cut a long story down, he did not get far with his wish, and then he had the nerve to want to buy our business name. We did not agree to that either. LOL
