Oh for Pete's sake, that spelling class is doing me no good! It took 6 pictures for me to realizes I wasn't spelling sandals right!
LOL Zilvy! I've known people like that...
Ah, that sounds wonderful Pharlap! Our was close. We just picked up take-out and went to the nursing home. No work, no mess to clean up. The view could've been better though (those places depress me )

Now I'm not a water sing, but I love to be near the water. When I was a kid, I swam like a fish (that is when I finally learned to swim at age 11, we never had a pool til then.) I'm an air sign and I love to take a plane to go wherever. I always get excited when I'm about to go on a trip.
Speaking of trips, we somehow got on the timeshare list. So far we've gotten a vacation on Catalina Island (loved it!), a $50 gift certificate to the mall, and I think I'm forgetting one. We're to go to another next Saturday. For this one we're getting rt air to Hawaii, Mexico, or? (DH couldn't remember the 3rd one.) Plus their giving us a one night stay at a resort here for just $50 (the resorts here are usually $100 and up a room per night). We're poor, but the idea of having a whole night alone in a hotel room was one we couldn't pass up!
We haven't had any time alone since Mom & Dad moved in except our trip to California. But I was still in so much pain then, I was mostly grinning and baring it.

Hello I am back, well for a short while at least, I have a few more things I need to get done and then I can relax for a while.
Zilvy, we hired a house boat and went away with some friends a couple of years ago, and it was really lovely out on the water. The only problem that I had was that our friends thought they knew all about sailing and the like, well let me tell you they knew sqat. We ended up on a sandbar and for a while there I had visions of being stuck and having to get towed back to shore. LOL Then our good friend almost took us out to sea, we were heading in the wrong direction and into a busy part of the ocean, we were meant to be sailing casualy up the river. But in the end all turned out well, and we had a wonderful weekend. Our friends that knew everything ended up getting so sunburnt, and we who knew nothing were just fine.
I would go out again in a houseboat, but not with those particular friends. Me I like a bit of safety in my life. I am willing to take some risk, but not in the middle of the ocean.
We live right next to a river and it is nice for the boys' to be able to put the boat in and go fishing or swurfing . Do you know what swurfing is , it is when they have a boggie/body board or an inner tyre and they put a base in the tyre and some one stands on the board or tyre and it gets towed behind the boat. The young ones seem to love it , but it scares me to death.
That is the mother in me.

Hi Netta, please keep me company until Pharlap gets home. I keep losing my connection because I'm working on the last of my auction pictures and getting absorbed in it, LOL.
Nighters Zilvy, it was nice to meet in the middle again!

Hello Mouse, I bet old lead foot is just about home by now. LOL
Have you got your auctions ready to put up yet??
It is good that you went and saw your dad today, I know he was not the best but I think it would have made him feel better having the family around him.

Oh I know it does, especially when the 'boys' go visit (my brother and nephew). My brother just about never visits him when he's somewhere besides home. And since my nephew doesn't drive yet, he goes about as often as his dad.
I don't have any ready yet, but I have almost all of the pictures ready. I need to go out into the garage and make some order out of that mess so I can work! I need to measure and package some of it up first. I've been diddling around with my own templates, but I'm not sure on it yet. I need to see what it would look like in the actual auction.

I have never set an auction up from scratch, you know making the template and everything. I have always just clicked on the one I like and go from there. When my busy period is over, I intend to have a little play with those things, but I am in no hurry and it is more for my own knowledge then to actually use. I just want to know how they do those things. One of the ebayers that I know, the one I got the cot from, makes his own and they always look great. So I might ask him how he does it.

I was reading over in the EO just the other day about making your own templates, and someone advised (I think it was Eventer) to be very careful how you do it and what you put into your template, because apparently some of them can take a long time to load and that can be a real pain. I have to admit that if I come across an auction that takes forever to load, I will back click and bypass it altogether. Anyway you may want to have a look over there in the EO, it may help.

Yeah, I've been keeping up in the EO since the fees were imposed to see what others are doing. I'll have to look for that one you mentioned, do you happened to remember the subject?

Okay I found it, but it is more to do with putting clip art in you auction background, which I guess is for making a template and the likes. Anyway here it is http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=360770

She might have had to stop at the shops, they are opened down the coast today.
I don't know if any of that will help you, but have a look anyway just in case.

As a matter of fact I'm using some of that knowledge right now with my pics. Mine are never very large, but I'm crunching them down even smaller so they load faster. I hate those huge pics you have to scroll right & left to see the whole thing!
Ooooh, I like the butterfly though (another of my passions ) I'll take butterfly gifs you can get too!

Well that was one of the first things I learnt was to make my pictures small enough to load fast, but big enough for everyone to get a good look at what you are selling.
I will see what butterflys' I can find for you.

You don't have either???
Flake is a type of fish (shark to be exact) and chips are like your french fries only thicker cut.

I figured it had to be something like that. Here we have fish & chips. Chips are the same, and the fish is usually some white fish. But I'm a seafood hater, so I don't eat it

I'll admit, some of it looks good, but I just can't stand any of it. I used to tolerate fried shrimp when I was younger (with lots of cocktail sauce), but i can't even eat that anymore. I don't know if it's being born and raised in the desert or not
